These work very well... great alternative to traditional traps with some caveats...
These are a great alternative if you need catch mice/rats. I've recently had an issue where they started destroying my garden, which has never been a problem before. I do have other animals, so I wanted to avoid snap-traps and poisons. I thought I'd use these to mitigate a family of mice from annihilating what I had left of the season, and more importantly propagating. I was worried about collateral damage (read: catching other animals), but fortunately these things caught it's intended target. So far I've only had one trap miss only because I can see the bait was disturbed and the glue was disturbed as well. Despite these traps doing a great job, they are alive or will remain alive for quite some time until you euthanize them appropriately. If you can deal with this, I would highly recommend. Pros: They catch mice/rats. Much safer if you have animals/pets. No need for snap traps. No need for poison bates. Large footprint (Read the con below as well...) to ensure entrapment. Cons: Will not euthanize the mice/rats quickly. More bulk to dispose of. Larger footprint makes it more difficult to place in small places. Although take advantage of the fold lines in the trap. It can be a messy clean-up if the animal is there for a long time. Overall, I would recommend this product as it is effective and very easy to use. Tips: * As the directions dictate, close the trap, then open it before placing it. It opens up the tacky glue and makes it easier to start the entrapment process. * Supplement the included bait with regular peanut butter * Place your bait at the most center of the trap to ensure there's more surface area for entrapment. * Secure the trap down as there is a potential that you can partially entrap the mouse/rat and it may leave the area. I will use a staple gun to secure it next to fences or wood surfaces. A hole punch on the edge, then tied to a stone or stationary object works as well. * Check the trap frequently to avoid longterm entrapment and dispose of accordingly.

Effective and safer alternative when you have kids at home
We purchased these glue traps because we absolutely did not want to use rat poison in the house, especially with small children around. Our residential area was still under construction, and we started seeing mice coming in from nearby worksites. These traps turned out to be a very effective solution. The adhesive is extremely strong, and once placed properly, they worked quickly and reliably. One thing we appreciated most is the thicker cardboard design, which prevents the trap from being dragged away. The foldable shape also makes it easier to position along walls and in corners where mice usually travel. We added a small amount of peanut butter in the center for extra effectiveness, and that made a big difference. Cleanup was straightforward — no need to touch anything directly, just fold and dispose of the trap. Overall, this is a solid option if you’re looking for a non-toxic alternative to poison, especially in homes with kids or pets. Like all glue traps, they do require regular checking and responsible disposal, but in terms of effectiveness and safety, these did exactly what we needed them to do. A practical and dependable solution during construction or seasonal rodent problems.

Nothing Smells Like Decomp In The Morning
We live in hot and humid Southwest Florida which gets a lot of rain especially in the summer. Since our water table is high a lot of local flooding comes with the rainy season. And when it floods all the critters start looking for some high and dry areas to inhabit. Unfortunately one of those spots is the attic of our three story home. They either climb up our drainpipes or clamber up our screened pool cage. The morning after we had a bridal shower for our youngest daughter I noticed an oppressive odor on the second floor that smelled like sewer. Since our septic system worked perfectly my second guess was that we once again had a dead critter in the attic. Upon investigating it was obvious that there were mice in the attic so I had to break out my various traps. I use live traps, the classic Victor snappers, and sometimes glue traps like this version. I avoid poisons for two reasons: I'd hate to be found guilty of secondary poisoning of a natural predator (or one of our Irish Wolfhounds), and a mouse or rat dying in our attic is very difficult to find -- often resulting in 5 days of that very unpleasant odor. After looking around the accessible areas in our attic I noticed some droppings in very tight spaces that you couldn't fit a regular trap into. That's where the glue traps really shine. I place a piece of stinky cheese and some peanut butter in the center of each trap and slide it into the tight area. Usually you have to wait a few days for results (unless you wear gloves while baiting and placing the traps) but in this case I had two captives the following morning. Even after baiting the traps two more times I never captured any other culprits -- and there weren't any signs of additional vermin. I prefer live trap and release but that isn't always possible. These glue traps do what they promise and are effective at holding the prey they attract. I even used one outside in an area where I knew an old river rat had been chewing through our pool cage screen. Although he successfully avoided all the baited regular traps he did end up stuck in one of these Mouse Glue Traps. They work, are reasonably priced, and easy to dispose of.

The Extra Large Rat Glue Traps 'alone' DID NOT WORK for our large rat problem(s:))
Hi there & t,hanks, so much for dropping (no PUN intended:)) by & reading my review for: the Extra Large Rat Glue Traps- 12 May, 2020 Our neighborhood is close to a large river; we've witnessed mice, rats, opossums, raccoons, fox, etc. Since the lockdown we have been the unfortunate beneficiaries of very hungry rodents. All the restaurants have been closed and the "RAT" race for an alternate food source is in full force! The rats brazenly showed themselves at first; we've seen them in front in the flower beds & out back, under the shed, now there are rat droppings in the garage and its time for them to go! I've had my traps out for over a week and NOTHING! The only things on the traps are some crickets and other insects. I've moved them into strategic places in the garage and I've used cheese sticks and peanut butter; nothing worked!! UNTIL today!!!! I mixed 1 cup baking soda, 1 cup powdered sugar and 1 cup flour (wheat , bread or white is fine) I filled several old coffee lids with the home-made powdery cocktail. I slipped one under the shed and placed several in the garage along the areas where rat poop droppings were previously discovered. BE SURE TO HAVE A TRAP IN CLOSE PROXIMITY, directly in the path. If you have any colored sugar crystals (I have red sugar for cookie deco) sprinkle some on top of the small powdery mound; you will be able to easily detect if they stopped by the all (AND LAST) you can eat, rodent bar(s). If not, fill the lids a bit more creating a small mound. If they come by to sample, they'll carelessly knock plenty out on the floor- Within 15 minutes of returning to my garage, I was surprised to see our first customer; The extra large glue trap folded easily, (the glue is so very sticky, DO NOT get it on anything) with the rodent inside, we never had to touch anything- I had an empty Amazon box & re purposed it for the honored guest's final resting place. UPDATE: each of the 5, All you can eat & meet your maker bars, have been compromised; I now know Ill need another box of these super glue traps, so they are on the way.. Thank you so much for reading my review of the Extra large glue traps! I hope this additional step will help at least one person solve their rat/mouse/rodent . Rats are a serious problem if you do not get on top of this ASAP- Please be safe, always wear gloves when mixing any cocktails or disposing of these rodents. A fertile female rat could have a litter averaging 10–12 babies every 3 or 4 weeks. She could have up to 17 litters in a year, so you could have 170 to 204 rats in a year! Get your traps coming:) Namaste'

Best glue traps out there.
I have tried the black glue traps for about a year and the mice and rats get wise to them very quickly. These traps are fantastic! The added bonus is they can catch multiple critters on one glue trap. 4 is the limit so far at one time. When you go to throw them away, you can fold the trap closed. I had one really large rat that got into my house when hubby left the back door open while taking out the garbage. They are attracted by the parrot food in my parrots cages. It was almost immediately trapped. However, It managed to drag itself off it by piling bird bedding on it that had fallen out of my parrot cages, so make sure there is no paper nearby. I had bought a tube of that trap adhesive available here on Amazon and squirted a circle on one of the fresh traps ... next day he was stuck fast ... and was a huge rat. WTH? Yuck. So they really work very well and the critters don’t get wise to them. They also catch little bugs and stuff, and one caught a very tiny little snake. Why do they all want to come in my house?? I’m glad I have these sticky traps now. Just don’t step on one. They are hard to get off your shoe, and never step on one with bare feet 🦶.

Good for baby rats
Doesn’t work well with large rats, they will get away. It works well on roaches or baby tiny rats.

Amazing pads, mice free finally!!
These pads are amazing! On the first day we caught 5 baby mice. And it’s only been day 3 and we have already caught 11 of them! Didn’t even realize we had as many in our house! So far only caught small and medium mice, I don’t know why the larger ones aren’t caught yet. I know larger ones exist because the poop size was a giveaway. I reordered these after the first night, because to catch mice, the entire sticky pad is used up. I had tried other sticky pads from the grocery store, but they were much smaller and we had no success with them for weeks. These ones are doing the trick every day. Also ordered mice poison along with the pads. Also make sure there is NO food outside at any time. Will later plug their entry point into the house and get someone to plug the small holes in the outer perimeter of our house, so they don’t enter the wood frames of garage and other areas. An update: for the next day or two we crept catching all the tiny babies! We are mice free now!! I have a stash of these pads left over, for next year or my friends who might need these! What an effective item!

Useless
These traps are useless. I put them down in our kitchen & got up in the middle of the night & saw a mouse stuck to one so I decided to wait until the morning to remove the trap. Got up the next morning "IT WAS GONE!" Escaped the sticky trap. So we put more down with food in the middle. All I see is little foot prints all over the glue, no mice. So, we used the rest of the traps. Same thing, nothing sticks. Worthless...
