**Q: How guaranteed is the tuning of this if a non tunable?**
A: Thanks.  It’s fairly accurate but if you are playing with others you would be better with a tuneable flute. Certainltpy, unlike wooden or metal alloy instruments,  polymer flutes do not change their tonality  according to moisture and temperature. I hope that this is helpful. I would say that it has a surprisingly deep and mellow tone, much more substantial than many low whistles, for example.

**Q: Does this flute have a tapered bore?**
A: The one piece low d flute (TB014D) sold directly from Tony Dixon Music has a tapered bore.

**Q: is this an irishflute?**
A: Tony Dixon is an English maker, so not made in Ireland but I've had these before and they are great for beginners and starting out.  I used mine for sessions so my very expensive wooden flute wouldn't get damaged :-)
