Review: Nice to have. - Nice looking stick from the start. Had compliments and people asking where I can get one. Well crafted and not heavy when walking long distances.
Review: Light and strong, feels good in the hand - I received this stick today, so I can't report on how it handles on a walk. First impressions: - The stick is very light and very rigid. It feels reliable and solid, despite its lack of weight. - The rounded knob at the top of the stick fits very comfortably into the palm and the fingers fall naturally and comfortably down the neck of the stick. - The bottom is finished with a ferrule in black metal crimped onto the wood. There are traces of wear around the bottom edges of the ferrule, which is a little surprising. While the stick is about 2.5cm across at the bottom, the base of the ferrule is about 1.7cm across, making me suspect that it will drive into the ground when it's wet. Perhaps more of a city stick than a country one. - When it arrived, a barcode sticker was glued to the stick, about 6cm long and 3cm wide. Someone had apparently tried to rip it off, but had failed to remove more than a small fingernail worth of the paper. I managed to remove the paper by dint of a lot of scrubbing, but the glue was more obstinate. What finally managed to remove it was peanut butter smeared on, left for a few minutes, then wiped off. It took a while...

**Q: Is it a heavy  substantial  stick**
A: My stick weighs 356 grams so for me this is not heavy. It is, however, very strong and seems to flex very little even if I lean all of my 89 kilos on it. For me it is a perfect combination for long walks with my dog. It also looks very smart.

**Q: What size rubber cover fits**
A: A 9mm rubber ferrule for shooting sticks will cover the spike as a temporary measure.
If you do not want to use the knob stick with the alpine spike, please ask us to cut off the spike and fit a rubber ferrule

A: hello, the average length is 38/39cms long

**Q: Would it be suitable as a disability aid stick with the rubber base. I have back problems but people say this kind of stick is not really suitable.**
A: Hi,. I've used many a walking stick for my back problems and it depends on how much weight you need to put on the stick. I lean quite heavily on mine and until I got my present specially designed ergo handle, all other sticks where causing nerve damage in my hand. Something to be wary of.
