I spent alot of time trying to decide whether to get a Kobo or Kindle , or even get an e-reader at all. In the end I opted for the Kobo and have been so pleased with the result. It is easy on the eyes and usable in all lights, from bright sun to total darkness. The soft colour element is good and it also is great for reading old black and white non fiction books. It came with me when I went to the other side of the world and was a pleasure to use on the plane - no heavy books in the hand luggage. Battery life is not quite as long as I had expected but that might be me leaving it in sleep for too long. The e reader pen that I bought to go with it works incredibly well and is a pleasure to use.

The Kobo Libra Colour E-Reader has been an excellent upgrade for me! The side buttons are a standout feature, similar to my older kindle, making it incredibly easy to navigate through books and hold the device comfortably during long reading sessions. The colour screen has exceeded my expectations, especially when reading comics—though it can’t completely replace the experience of printed material, it’s a fantastic way to carry and enjoy multiple comics on the go. I also purchased the stylus, and so far, it’s been great for note-taking. It’s responsive and smooth to use, though I do wish there was an option to sync notes with OneDrive. Google Drive works fine, but having more options would be a nice touch. One of the biggest perks has been the ability to connect to my local library and borrow books for free—this has been such a game-changer! The transition from my Kindle was seamless, and I have no regrets about making the switch. Overall, this is a solid e-reader that I’m very happy with.

Exceptional design, easy to use, and it really makes reading easier, faster and more comfortable. It feels strong and robust, but it's also refined. You can feel the thought that has gone into it. After a few tries I was navigating the screens and options very easily. Like any device it takes a little effort, but after that it's become very intuitive. The screen is excellent in bright light and very comfortable in dull light. It's super light, very slim and easily fits into a bag or large pocket. I'm not used to eReaders but found the process of signing-up and download books very easy. The selection of books is vast. I tested the library by typing in some very obscure titles and was amazed when it returned not just the book I was looking for but different options as well. This device allows you to take notes and highlight the text. This is really important to me as I like to catch my thoughts, and it makes the Kobo great for research.

Love the Kobo Libra Color. Importing is easy, colour isn't super vibrant but nice to have for comic books. Good font and screen settings, additional can be added. The notebook takes getting used to and can only be used with the stylus. Love the dictionary and notes option while reading books as well.

I bought this to replace a much loved, older Kobo eReader after the screen stopped working. The colour screen is no advantage because the colours are dull and washed out. I find it less comfortable to hold than my old one because the back is flat, hard and slippery. It's slightly faster however, and the page turning is much smoother. The buttons are a bit too stiff but I like the fact that you can swap them around. It's a very good eReader and I use it a lot. The menus are intuitive and the selling point for me is the fact that you can easily download books from a laptop or PC. The screen size is about right and it's not too heavy. I travel a lot and this goes everywhere with me.

So happy with this device. Its a major upgrade on my aging Clara BW, with much nicer ergonomics and smooth interface. The colour shouldn't make much difference in reality but you can't help but enjoy the touch of class it brings when you see the cover of your current read in colour.

Absolutely love this! Works brilliantly, have had no issues with the hardware or software. The device is lightweight and having buttons really improves the experience. I love the Kobo store (less pushy than rivals). When reading the font, margin, spacings can all be adjusted to taste really easily. The swipe on the left side (up and down) makes adjusting brightness simple and quick. Colour is a novelty for me as I'm not a big consumer of comics. So I only really notice when the current book cover appears when the device is sleeping / on standby, which is a nicety no more than that really. I don't annotate or use notes. I'm solely a reader. All in love fully recommended. One caveat. Kindle has a lot of books, author exclusively. Especially true of self published authors; so one thing to consider. Not an issue for me personally.

Amazing e-reader, didn't know i needed the buttons or screensize increase, but now can't imagine it any other way. It's quick and easy to use and set up, too. Battery lasts a long time, and all the settings are amazing. The colours are as good as they can be on an e-ink reader. Highly recommend

Premetto che possiedo già un e-reader della concorrenza del 2020, ma ho voluto provare il sistema Kobo per svincolarmi dall'ecosistema Kindle e avere maggiore libertà nel caricare file di diversi formati, inoltre volevo un dispositivo a colori. Dopo alcuni giorni di utilizzo posso dire di essere rimasto piacevolmente sorpreso. Il sistema è fluido, intuitivo e mai macchinoso. La lettura è davvero piacevole e, contrariamente a quanto letto in alcune recensioni, non trovo affatto fastidioso il leggero effetto della tecnologia a colori: per me non compromette la qualità dello schermo. Ho scelto questo modello soprattutto per la possibilità di evidenziare i testi con colori diversi e leggere comodamente libri con grafici, schemi qualche fumetto e immagini a colori. Lo schermo più grande migliora notevolmente l'esperienza di lettura, mentre l'ergonomia è ottima e il design è davvero gradevole. Ho apprezzato molto anche la presenza dei tasti fisici per cambiare pagina, una comodità che rende la lettura ancora più pratica.

Umduğumdan çok daha iyi bir cihaz. Özellikle ekran boyutunun 7 inç olması beni cezbetmişti ki hakikaten en ideali bu sanırım; ne çok küçük ne de gereksiz büyük. Performansı, ekran ışıklandırması (tonunu ve şiddetini istediğiniz gibi ayarlayabiliyorsunuz), renkleri gayet iyi. USB kablo ile aktardığım PDF ve EPUB dosyalarını sorunsuzca açıyor. Gönül rahatlığıyla öneririm. Not: Ürün elime epey geç ulaştı, eksi puan olarak bunu da belirteyim.

Love it!! The colours give it so much more personality. I love the bigger size and the place to hold it with the buttons. It's a bit too big for me to hold with one hand so I just stuck a popsocket on the back and now its perfect! Because it's bigger than my old one I can also increase the font size without having six words per line haha. Love that I can switch hands, turn it upside down and the whole screen just goes with it. 10/10.

Ich benutze den Kobo Libra Color jetzt regelmäßig und bin sehr zufrieden. Die farbigen Buch-Cover und Ebooks und das Markieren helfen mir mehr zu lesen! :) ✦ Display & Farben: Im Vergleich zu einem iPad ist das Display natürlich weniger kontrastreich und die Farben weniger satt, da es sich um E-Ink handelt. Die gleiche Darstellung wie auf einem Tablet ist also nicht möglich. Ich würde es eher mit einer Zeitung vergleichen. Dennoch lese ich nur auf dem Kobo, und ungerne auf dem iPad. Es ist auch deutlich angenehmer als schwarz-weiße Reader. Die Farben helfen mir, engagiert zu bleiben und konzentriert zu lesen, was für ADHS zB. besonders hilfreich ist. ✦ Markieren & Notizen: Mit dem Kobo Stylus oder Finger kann man Text farbig markieren, was mir persönlich beim Lesen wahnsinnig hilft. Bei EPUB-Dateien stehen vier Farben zur Auswahl (blau, pink, gelb, grün). Bei PDFs kann man zusätzlich mit dem Stylus frei markieren und hat mehr Farben. Ich hoffe allerdings darauf dass Kobo in Zukunft generell mehr Farben zum Markieren zur Verfügung stellt! ✦ Tasten & Touch: Die Seitentasten sind unglaublich angenehm und machen einen großen Unterschied zum reinen Touch. Man kann beide nutzen oder Touch-Gesten deaktivieren – ich habe letzteres gemacht, weil ich es so am angenehmsten finde. ✦ Handhabung & Form: Liegt gut in der Hand, leicht und intuitiv zu bedienen. ✦ Akku & Formate: Hält mehrere Wochen, unterstützt viele Formate wie EPUB, PDF, usw., also sehr flexibel. ✦ Fazit: Für alle, die farbige E-Books lesen und Wert auf praktische Funktionen wie Markieren oder Kritzeln und Notizen, Tasten, und lange Akku-Laufzeit legen, ist der Kobo Libra Color ideal. Besonders hilfreich für Leser, die sich schwer fokussieren können. Die Farbe und die Markierungen machen das Lesen motivierend und angenehm! Außerdem schätze ich sehr es eine weiße Variation des Ereaders haben zu können!
