Labtec Axis-501 Deluxe Mono Headset with Boom Microphone

I have had this headset before and have been using the same one for years and years. The performance has been great. I like the fact that it is mono so that I can easily hear whatever else is going on in the house while I am on the pc. The sound quality has always been good and the volume control/mute switch has proven to be a nice feature. It would be nice if the cable were a bit longer but it is certainly adequate. Unfortunately, the item I ordered (Labtec Axis 501) was NOT the item that was sent to me (Labtec Contact 501). The item being sold and the photo of the item do, in fact, match. However, the description is NOT the correct description for the item listed. In other words, the Labtec Axis 501 headset is the one advertised but the description is for the Labtec Contact 501. It was the Contact 501 that was sent out and NOT the Labtec Axis 501. Aside from the inconvenience of phoning, emailing, etc., it was a big disappointment to learn that the item I wanted wasn't actually available. I purchased the product from Geek Corner on October 27, 2012 and, to date, it seems as if the "Product Description" still DOES NOT MATCH the ITEM listed for sale. At this point in time, I do not know if the Labtec Axis 501 is actually available or not. As far as the seller is concerned, all in all, I would deal with Geek Corner again. The product shipped quickly and, despite the error, they were polite and accommodating. They gave me a full refund.
