Quiet, responsive and well built
For under thirty dollars there is nothing better. Perfect for home audio speakers. Comes with regular wall plug adapter not USB adapter. Unit is quiet and responsive at 12db. Seven bands is plenty to shape sound out of my old Bose speakers. I realize other buyers experience may be different but I got a gem. Thank you Amazon.

Just what I needed to make my music enjoyable again.
In my old age, I needed something to enhance some frequencies in the music I listen to. I was able to increase the frequencies in the mid/high range I was missing. I can hear the hi hats and tambourines again! I also added just a bit to the lo mids to add definition to the bass guitar. I can hear everything now like I used to. I run a mini stereo TRS cable from my laptop headphone out to the input of the EQ, plug my headphones into the EQ. Sounds great.

Great EQ for tweaking headphones...
This device is great for getting better results from your headphones. It has been satisfying to bring some of my mediocre headphones to life and even my nicer headphones have benefited from the EQ tweaking this device provides. The build quality is sturdier and nicer than I expected at this price point. It doesn’t look or feel like a boutique piece of premium tech, but for the price it’s great. If you’re a guitarist, this is comparable to a nice guitar effects pedal. I do wish it had a bypass switch though. So, it’s a great value and performs well, but there is an issue. If you turn up the volume past 3 or 4 clicks, the noise becomes unbearable. It sounds like a noise floor issue due to a noisy gain stage. Thankfully, the 3 or 4 clicks that aren’t noisy offer plenty of volume to drive all my headphones with plenty of volume and they sound great. Still, this may be something to consider if you are going to have a very low input source or need a lot of power to drive certain setups. Having a 7-band EQ at your fingertips is worth the price of admission and this product gives you that. With a couple of tweaks, this could have been an amazing product and value. As it stands, it’s still a neat device and worth the money.

EQ for Better Sound
I am an audio/video engineer and value sound quality. I purchased this for my kitchen stereo (300-watt amp, great sounding bookshelf speakers and a subwoofer) to go along with a nice 4K television. Before installing this into my system, I felt I wasn't getting the proper highs, midrange or even mid-lows that I was supposed to. The minute I received it (perfect 2-day delivery, Thank You Amazon), I took out of the box (packaged very well) and connected it. I had instant control over the sound of my system. After about 15 minutes of playing, I had it set perfectly. Great little unit! I didn't add any distortion or noise yet gave me the needed control to dial in the sound I wanted to hear.

Improves headphones greatly
I got this and it looked like it was opened before, discovered the power supply was flakey (pops on/off) fortunately I had a cheap power supply (12v dc) and it works fine with it. There weren't any instructions. I have it between my TV and my wireless headphones and it improved the sound greatly. A by-pass switch would be nice so I could compare the original and the equalized sound. I needed a 3.5mm stereo double ended cable like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BF9JHGXK/?coliid=I1L0EJSSL6QE84&colid=2F1VXXF9UVKG8&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it&th=1 to connect it up but having 3.5mm input and output on the unit was really handy. Seems solid and dials move easily.

Nice while it lasted
Worked great for about nine months then one channel went out. I tried different patch cords and anything else I could think of but still doesn’t work. Very disappointing, I guess I’ll have to look for something better.
