Bear in a Square (A Barefoot Board Book)

My 17-months son has had this for 6 months now and he loves it. I think, of the 'Bears series' from the same author, this one starts becoming interesting around 12-14 months, while the others are suited for even younger children. Also, this is not cardboard, so it's more fragile and larger, so definitely more suited to slightly older babies. Highly commended.

Lovely book for any child

My daughter loves “Bear on a Bike” and I didn’t realise it was part of a collection. Love the simplicity, and it’s a learning book so children are prompted to look for particular shapes in the illustrations. No buyers remorse.

This is a really great book. It is wonderfully interactive, and the kids end up learning about geometric shapes and counting without realising that they are being taught! Thoroughly recommended.

Good story to read to nursery aged children - uses other shapes and promotes conversations about shapes in the environment.

Bear in a square is a lovely book. Barefoot Books publish some really superior board books for babies, and this is one of them. Some really unusual shapes, rather than just the basic ones, a lovely little story and plenty of colour identification and counting make this great value for money. All the other bear books are also fabulous, but this was the first I brought my children and probably my favourite.

My kids loved this book, from when they were two until they were six (when we lost it). They liked the rhymes, the beautiful pictures, finding the places the bear visited on the map, choosing which bear they wanted to be, guessing the day of the week, the little funny bits... I could go on, but sadly this book is only a memory for us now.

Our kids -- now in their mid-20s -- loved this book. We give it to our friends who have become recent parents.

These books by Stella Blackstone have wonderful stories & are beautifully illustrated. There is so much to look at on every page. Both of my 2 year old grandsons love them!

These books are so tough. I wish more baby books were this sturdy. You can rest easy, knowing that your kid will not chew through or choke on the parts of this book.
