Quick, and lots of battery while mopping
This thing has been great! I have had robot for years. For this robot I have over 2400 foot of vacuum able space. All tile or wood. 2 dogs 2 cats and 3 humans. I tend to bring in mud and stuff from outside, dog's and cats leave toys and other surprise's in random spots. One of the ladies of the house puts throw rugs everywhere, the other drops tissues paper in random spots and times. Normally the house is populated 24/7 with people coming and going in the daytime. We call the robot Flo. When she first arrived she errors while mapping at 2000 sqft. After the update she mapped the house fine.I was able to adjust the map to make sense for me. As zones that's would always be dirty(back door, cat litter areas). With my other robot though the years I found most did not have have the run time, and or the charging capability to finish our house in a normal day 8-10 hours. Flow gets pretty close around 10 hours if I set her up for vac and mop at the same time. At first this sounded bad to me. But as I saw how well it worked. I got where I liked it.She goes around most toys, shoes, and what ever nice. So far her stats are 22000 sqft cleaned, 82 tasks,42 hours. I think she has not finished three times. 2 times failed due to dog tow with strings hanging from it. She was going around the toy and got grabbed the a string with the roller. The other time was with a throw rug. Flow really does not like throw rugs at all. I finally just pick them up first to keep me from changing a issue. Good are always moving them around so you can't really tell flow much. She does notice dog pee pads and drives around them which is nice. I wish she would do the same with throw rugs. With my other robots long hair wraps around the pick up roller. Flow does not have that problem. She can not quite finish all the areas in one run, but she charges pretty fast and seems to be smart about how she charges.I tend to clean the house in parts depending where people are going to be. I hardly ever clean house all at once.Cleaning vacuuming parts are easy and really very little work.Mopping tends to add more maintenance. I tend to fill the water tank every time I run her on large cleaning runs, pour out dirt water tank which gets pretty dirty. After about 15000sqft I cleaned the mopping parts of the robot and the pull out pieces in the main station. Those do need cleaning as they get dirt in rollers and stuff.Over all wonderful machine. Floors look great after the mopping.Pros:QuickReliableMops greatBattery lifeCleans spilt waterVery quietQuickly navigates around the house.Negative:Have to clean mopping stuff after 15000sqftA penney will get stuck in roller box, luckily it goes to spot to not damage it cause to many issues.Does not do well with throw rugsMy wife does not like spot light while it's cleaning at night.

WE **LOVE** THIS THING!!
Long review ahead, but I promise it’s worth it!!Background info: I bought this for my wife for Christmas as we (but mainly she) spends a lot of time sweeping and mopping the floors of our house due to the amount of pets we have. We have 4 dogs (1 sheds A LOT, 2 shed a moderate amount, and the other doesn’t shed at all). We also have a cat. It takes DAILY sweeping to keep up with our house due to the breeds/amount of pets we have. If you have a lot of pets - have no fear because this will do wonders!!Packaging: The item and all it comes with is packaged nicely. The unit itself is clean and sleek looking.Ease of setup: Setup is super easy, just follow the steps through the app.App functionality: You can do everything you need to through this app from picking how many times it goes over a room, how intense the suction power of the vacuum is, how wet the mop leaves the floors, scheduling, changing/modification of mapped floor plans, etc. There’s also a setting called “Freo” mode where it is smart enough to sense what needs redone and what doesn’t.It amazes me how crazy smart this thing is, it can tell based off the mop water if excess dirt has been detected and will send it back to the problem areas to keep cleaning until it’s truly clean. It will also wash and heat dry its own mop pads to keep them clean and not produce any odors. I slightly modified the barriers of our rooms it mapped out, so we can send it to a problem area of the house if need be and everything is divided from rooms down to hallways so we can clean an individual room if a mess arises, and not the entire house. You can also create shortcuts in the app so it can clean whatever you want, however you want. We’ve had no human/pet hair tangled in the roller and its capability to detect objects on the floor and move accordingly has been great!Ours is programmed to clean the mop after each room it cleans (we selected this option so we’d have clean mop pads for the other rooms cleaned after it cleans where the litter box is). Funny enough, it’s smart enough to know when the mop pads are dirty and will automatically send it to the docking station for cleaning ANYTIME during the cleaning - whether it’s done with the room or not. It also knows the difference between carpet rugs and hardwood floors. You can also tell it which way the hardwood floor is laid in the house so it goes with the grain and doesn’t leave streaks. The first night we had it, we ran it at night as we slept. It has a night mode (set with a start/end time period) where it will disable docking station lights, audio, and reduce the vacuum to its quietest setting. It’s quiet enough I fell asleep as it was vacuuming/mopping under our bed. Due to the breeds/amount of animals we have, we scheduled it to vacuum and mop the house 3 days / week. Some tips after several uses:1) When prioritizing your rooms to be cleaned, look at your floor plan and choose the farthest room from the docking station. Make that the first room it cleans, and the last room would be that which has the docking station it in. Initially, I wasn’t going to set ours up this way because we wanted the litter box room done last, but this thing is so smart it will clean the pads when dirty anyway, so this isn’t an issue as it doesn’t track any litter through the remaining rooms to be cleaned anyway. Starting in the room farthest from the docking station and ending in the room where the station is will keep it from rolling over freshly mopped floors to clean a room farther away.2) Don’t be alarmed if the first time it cleans it takes HOURS. Our first cleaning took 4 hours. The cleaning today took just over an hour. Once it has things nice and clean, the routine upkeep helps reduce its time in use quite a bit.3) Freo mode is a great, and thorough mode, IF YOU’RE HOME… I don’t recommend this mode when you’re away from the house because it is so thorough in problem areas it will redo those areas so much you’ll run out of water while you’re gone and it won’t finish the job until refilled. For us, we disabled Freo mode in the scheduling so we know it will do the entire house while we’re gone.4) SPEND THE MONEY!!!! When these automated vacuums first came out years ago, I bought a cheap one at Walmart. I’d say it did less than average of what it should’ve - cleaning results wise. This time, I went with the philosophy of “you get what you pay for” and with this… you will NOT be disappointed!! OUR FLOORS FEEL LIKE BUTTER THEY ARE SO CLEAN, SHINY, AND SMOOTH!! We have not stopped talking about this since we used it. It even has its own name now, haha!Maintenance Answers:1) After a deep clean is done and you’re routinely cleaning, a full water tank is enough to get the job done for us and doesn’t need refilled during the job (this will depend on square footage).2) So far, our device has cleaned a total of 8.9K square feet and has had 25 hours of use. We have not had to replace the mop heads yet OR the lemon & basil sent cleaning solution it automatically mixes with the clean water. The app also tracks its parts and tells you when the mop heads need replaced, etc. These items can be purchased on Amazon through the Narwal store so they are name brand and meant for your device. They aren’t expensive either.I researched, read reviews, and watched many of videos before this purchase due to my previous experience with a cheaper model, and the price of this one being on the high side, but I’m telling you - YOU WON’T REGRET THIS PURCHASE!! I never leave reviews, but this thing earned a 5-STAR review! We’d both rate it higher if we could!!!!!

After three months, a complete failure.
I absolutely loved this machine for the first three months. It was perfect. It vacuumed and mopped my floors on a schedule. I have hardwood tile and area rugs. I had my mapping completely set up so when it mopped it avoided the area rugs it cleaned meticulously and for a 3700 square-foot house it took hours of work off of me.Recently, it started completely not working. I had not changed any of the settings. It was on the schedule, but all of a sudden it was not cleaning rooms. I asked it to do quick tasks so I could watch it and it would go into a room turn around go back to the dock and it would say it had completed the job when the cleaning had been done. It began to mark all of my room rooms as carpet. Again, I had not changed any settings from the first three months. I contacted the company and they continuously asked me for information email after email asking me to show them pictures or check my settings which I would tell them I did and I was aware of and they suggested that the carpet setting was on so that it would avoid the room completely(which is ridiculous on so many fronts being that the kitchen is tile and it claims it’s carpet). I have been unable to get it to do anything correctly, and I cannot allow it to do it schedule at night since it might mop one of my rugs. (because all of my map settings have been changed to complete carpet and I can’t get it to recognize rug areas.) the company has not been helpful at all, so I am looking at another company that has a new mop and vacuum out with newer sensors and hoping I might do better with that. I loved the machine. I would be happy if they offered to fix it, but the company has been an absolute failure and offered absolutely no assistance rather they just continue to try and send useless emails which I don’t even have time for and suggest that it is my operating error. While in many situations that could be the case, I have checked and recheck my settings to no avail. In one of the photos above, you will see it went into a room and left the room and said task completed and had I not watched it with my own eyes; I would’ve presumed that the room was completed.Edit as of 12/20/2024: after I had for the most part given up on the correspondence; the company then contacted me and said they would be happy to take it back and they would send me a mailing label. I responded that I would not send it back if I had to pay.(I was one month over the return limit when this started). One response said I would have to pay and get a box and the other response said they would pay; regardless -I was going to have to pay for whatever repair and for me after reading other reviews; the repairs do not seem worth the investment and it is repeatedly suggested to purchase a repair contract which also costs more. My new machine by a different company is working very well so far. And actually does a better job on thick rugs. I finally decided to just donate the machine to Goodwill and if somebody else wants to fight with repair; they’re welcome to..

Life Changing.
I bought my Narwal on sale for Mother's Day 2024 using a Roomba 980 for almost five years. This is the best cleaning investment I've made and waited till now to review to ensure I was completely satisfied with the cleaning results. Also, no more banging into furniture or walls with the millimeter precision of the Freo X Ultra. It vacuums and mops above my cleaning standards. As a retired member of the military my standards are very high! The Narwal Freo X Ultra robot cleans on par with the Roombas vacuum power but at a much lower noise level. The Freo vacuum can run at 4 different power levels, Quiet, Normal, Strong and Super Powerful with the ability to clean the area 1 to 3 times in a single session. Even on the Super Powerful mode of vacuuming it's less than half the noise of the Roomba 980 with the same level cleaning. I can't tell you how many times I had to pause Roomba to talk on the phone or to have a conversation. The Freo is so much quieter you'll wonder if it's even running. I know, I've looked for it several times only to find it cleaning normally.Let's talk about the climbing mode for a minute. My Freo is used on the downstairs only. So I have enabled the climbing mode to get over obstacles, rug corners, etc. This thing has climbed over a bathroom scale to get to the area behind the scale. Was impressed but now I just pick up the scale to make it easier to clean. The mopping features are just as impressive. With the edge clean mode engaged it will mop to the baseboards with the ability to do multiple cleaning passes. The rotating scrubbing heads clean my floors and leave no trace of dirt or streaking on my tile flooring. The robot will return to the base station periodically to wash the mop heads before continuing the cleaning job. There is no dripping of water from the mop heads. Was worried about running out of the mopping solution so I bought an extra bottle. I'm still on my first bottle of cleaner after two months. This is the only recommendation I can make. Once you run the mopping cycle it's not necessary to empty the dirty water or refill the clean water but do it anyway. The dirty water will get smelly after a week or so but you can't smell it till you pour it out.Overall I'm very pleased with the performance and rate it 5 stars, would go higher if Amazon allowed. The App is very intuitive and easy to use and have had zero issues getting it to work. Just a quick note on the authorized replacement parts. While I haven't needed any replacement parts the authorized replacement parts are a bit more costly than the knockoffs, I highly recommend only using authorized parts when needed. The knockoffs are not usually in the correct tolerances and don't work well. It's a get what you pay for type of thing. If you are still on the fence, buy it when a sale is available and save some money too. I know It's a bit more costly than some of the other models in the robot market but it's so worth it and makes it easy to maintain my floors. As I stated above you get what you pay for, especially, with the Narwal Freo X Ultra. Love my little robot and it's abilities, I think you will too.

A Powerhouse with a Few Software Quirks
tl;dr: If you are in the market for a high-end robot vacuum, buy the Narwal Flow. It’s a fantastic cleaner and you won't regret the purchase.First Impressions: Up and Running in MinutesThe Narwal Flow is incredible right out of the box. I was able to get the unit fully set up in about 10 minutes. The process is simple: unbox it, fill the water and detergent tanks, download the app, and hit "Clean." It immediately scans your home, figures out which rooms have carpet vs. hard floors, and gets to work. While the cleaning performance is top-tier, there are two specific quirks I found—and easy ways to fix them yourself.Helpful Tips for New Owners1. Handling Dark Carpets Near StairsIf you have dark or black rugs near a staircase, the robot’s sensors might get confused. It thinks the dark color is a "cliff" (a drop-off) and will refuse to vacuum that area because it's afraid of falling. The Fix: Go into the app and disable Stair Detection, then simply draw a "No-Go Zone" on the map around your stairs. This lets the robot clean your dark rugs safely without any hesitation.2. Keeping the Suction StrongAfter about a week, I noticed the vacuum wasn't picking up as much as it did on day one. I realized the "Smart" setting for emptying the dustbin wasn't doing it often enough, causing the internal bin to get a bit too full. The Fix: Change the Auto Dust Collection setting from "Smart" to "Always." It takes a few extra seconds for the robot to empty itself more frequently, but it ensures the suction stays powerful every single time it cleans. My Only Real ComplaintThe Narwal Flow does a beautiful job, but you still have to manually dump the dirty water and refill the clean tank. That chore gets old pretty quickly!I know Narwal sells an Auto Refill & Drainage kit for some of their other models that hooks directly into your home's plumbing. I really wish they offered a conversion kit like that for the Flow. At the very least, having a dedicated slot for auto-dispensing soap (instead of mixing it manually) would have been a nice touch to make it feel more "hands-off."Final VerdictThe Narwal Flow isn't perfect, but it vacuums and mops incredibly well with very little maintenance. The best part is that almost all my issues are on the software side. Narwal updates the app and the vacuum regularly, so I’m hopeful these small sensor and emptying quirks will be fixed in a future update. Even as it is now, I'm very happy with this purchase.

This is a $500 robot, not a $1500 one....see details!
This is a $500 robot, not a $1500 robot! There is a HUGE problem with this robot. Unless you have ALL super simple square or rectangle rooms, you can FORGET MAPPING out your house properly. If you can't MAP properly, you can't CLEAN properly!!!I've spoken to customer service MANY times, spending hours and hours trying to map properly, nope, can't do it. They confirm it can;t be done and they said they have no way to fix my maps and get them back to me so that it does work properly.I literally spend 8-10 hours to just get a basic map of 5 rooms in my main living level. And to do this, I had to try to trick the robot, by blocking off 1 room at a time with "obstacles" or temporary cardboard "walls".My end result? A complete MESS of a map with diagonal lines cutting thought the middle of rooms, walls that it just does not see, and a robot that goes haywire trying to clean, wasting tons of time because its confused. The MAP editor only work for the most simple of rooms, forget about sectioning off areas you dont want cleaned.I told them that they need to make the map editor so that end users can move, place, and re-size the walls where ever they want to so we can FIX what the radar mapping gets wrong. And it will get a lot wrong. They said, "nope, cant do that".This robot will not map any rooms with half or quarter walls. It struggles with identifying carpet and tile mapping as well. They dont even have it set to recognize carpet by default and you have to change some weird setting. In all fairness, it cleans "ok". It vacuums ok, but will miss some stuff. The mopping we think is pretty good, if you have it do multiple passes. It recognized things like pets and obstacles well.Another problem is that when you designate a carpet surface in an area, it TURNS OFF the edge brushes!!!Wait, what? Why on earth would you NOT want the robot to use the edge brushes up against your base-boards in room with wall-to wall carpet? So it leaves crud all up against the walls on carpets.I asked them about this, they said "we have that off by default so that the edge brushes don't scatter material out across the carpeted area". But, it has them ON on tile.Folks, edge brushes are going to scatter debris WAY FARTHER on tile than on any carpet! They have this BACKWARDS! And, when it starts cleaning, it always does the perrimiter first, and would only move debris out into and area that sill will be cleaned. So, you have to TRICK to robot to get any baseboard cleaning and tell it the room is TILE instead of carpet. Simple fix would be to just make a setting to turn on or off the edge brushes if you like. Simple! (sorry, not available)This does work but guess what? Don't accidentally set it to mop (which is easy to accidentally do) or it will MOP ALL YOUR CARPETS!Its just got QUIRKS that a $1500 robot SHOULD NOT HAVE!Customer service is pretty good, but using the app based chat is HORRIBLE! If you leave the app for like 2 minutes, it will kick you out, and to get a chat started again, you have to re-enter ALL your criteria and purchase # every single time!! Come on folks, do better! They do try to help, and customer service is better than most I would say, they just let me down by telling me "Sorry, cant fix that MAJOR PROBLEM making using the robot VERY challenging and TIME CONSUMING".On the BAD maps issues they said to me after I tried to re-map like twice, spending like 8-10 hours, "try mapping again and see what happens" HAHAHAHAH! How about NO!The software interface is not that good either, a bit confusing, and you have to really move though levels of stuff to get simple things like cleaning logs.Narwal, FIX your map software and ALLOW me move and resize and place walls as needed so the map is correct!!! Until you do that, this robot only works on the SIMPLEST of layouts and is a NIGHTMARE otherwise!

Narwal Freo X Ultra Robot vacuum and mop combo
UPDATED below..... PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE UNTIL YOU HAVE READ UPDATE BELOW...This is truly a big investment at a thousand dollars (on sale). But I have high hopes. I've had it a couple of weeks and I can say - Dang. It's pretty good. There are a couple of things. First, it doesn't vacuum quite as well as my vacuum only robot - but its ok. There are lots of settings - so I am going to try a few things. The mop is amazing. At first the dirty water was horrible - embarrassing. I wasn't expecting it. It actually had to recharge and continue! And I had to add water and dump the dirty water twice! But as "Wally" has been working, the water is less and less dirty. That says to me it's working and well. I have 1 floor so I don't have any stair issues. I have about 1600 sq ft - so a small area. My floors look a lot better. No joke. I love that part. The whole unit is pretty big. Be sure to look at measurements. It dwarfs my old robot vacuum with self empty tank. Noise? It's amazingly quiet on the quiet setting - but it's not super great at the vacuum part on 'quiet' run. Could you run while you sleep. I sure could. It's only been caught 1x - but my fault - loose cord. It was a bit of trick to get hooked up to my network - but after about 6 tries - all of sudden it decided to link. You MUST have wifi - you can't run the machine from the base. That needs to change. Also, it talks to you - very quietly. Where I have it, I cannot hear it. It would be nice to log into the app and SEE what it's trying to tell you - but that doesn't happen. I did run in the other room and heard the last part of the notice "dirt detected" - Thumbs up. Another thing, you must purchase there floor cleaner. You could get around it trying hard enough, but I am not not tempted enough to do it. There is a scent to the cleaner, but I only smell it when I dump the dirty water bin - I never notice it while/after it is actually mopping. I'm ok with that. I'd rather not have a strong scent. It is kinda funny because the dirty water is gross, but smells great! LOL In my opinion, the mapping was incredibly accurate. Noting my area rugs, where they end and the flooring begins. Impressive. Rarely runs into anything. I am actually really, happy with this purchase. I hope it works for a looooong time. I did have to ask a question - email was the only option to get support. I got an answer - that worked. I am a little disappointed that on the app (I have an android - but sure the Iphone is probably the same) there is an ad strip! Seriously??I just paid this huge of money for your equipment and I STILL have to have an ad strip on my app??That's annoying. It's a tap/click to purchase refills of stuff. Eh. Honestly, I am still running through all the settings, all the options - like just vacuum, just mop or both. Then there's mop and vacuum or vacuum and then mop... Over all, I am thrilled to have clean floors. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. All of my reviews reflect my honest, personal experience with the reviewed item - your experience may be different. I am not influenced by any outside source. I receive/accept NO free products or discounts that are not available to all shoppers- ever. I am a verified purchaser - not a compensated reviewer. I have been doing honest, trustworthy reviews for well over 25 years with Amazon - posting thousands and thousands of reviews - which have been viewed over 8.2 million times to date. I am NOT a fake reviewer. BOTTOM LINE: I pay for ALL my stuff, just like you do - with hard earned dollars!UPDATED REVEIW 10/13/2024 : I love love the IDEA of this mop. BUT unfortunately, it is an idea that needs more time to develop I think. PLUS one of the biggest irritations is all the ADS that are constantly going on your app - which is necessary to use in the function of your mop. OMG. Its even the ads that will not clear until a certain amount of time has passed before you can access your mop!!! Seriously???? I am SO angry about this. For as much as you pay for this machine - NO ads should EVER harass you! Also, after months of using I am annoyed that there is NO way to remove/delete 'scheduled' events! Another thing - once it has started doing a 'task' good luck stopping it. You can press and hold the arrow button on the box, but it will start up right where it left off when you send it out again on the previous task! I am currently trying to figure out if it is just a terrible brain chip? OR do I need to hard reset? Is that even possible? What does all this say? It's NOT intuitive. It's SUPER difficult to search out what you need it to do and then how to stop what you don't need it to do. Every time I need to delve into a more complicated process (how to adjust the 'type' of clearning ) - I have to go to youtube to get an education on HOW to do it and I end up saying ' Wow. I would have NEVER found that.' I am super super disappointed about the harassing ads that never end. But even more disappointed I have to research everything about it's function! It took me at least a month to get all the 'customize' parts of my cleaning down. Does the vacuum/mop work. Yes. But you may want to kill something in order to get it to work. I would seriously consider returning it if I hadn't passed the returned window. It is with great sadness that I highly recommend you DO NOT PURCHASE ANY NARWAL products until they address the ads and remove them. Further, they need to go back to the drawing board on how to program a truly intuitive process that doesn't require a heavy internet search for the solution. And that's IF there is one.UPDATE #2 11/23/24 They have removed the ads from phone! Hopefully for everyone. They have also been apparently listening to people. They've made a few really good improvements on the app. You can easily skip or cancel scheduled events. That is a godsend. It still doesn't vacuum quite as well as my ol' buddy irobot 4 - but - Narwal mops. That is game changer for me. I feel like my review is a bit bipolar sounding at this point. I am not. But when you are investing such a large amount of money - I just feel responsible to report as we go along. It appears that Narwal may be listening and adjusting to customers. As long as that is happening - I'm still on board.

Easy, dual-action cleaning from my favorite robotic minion
We just moved into a new home, and the main floor is mostly engineered plank. With three small dogs, it was difficult to keep things looking clean and tidy, mostly because neither my wife nor I felt like sweeping and mopping every other day. We had a Samsung robotic vacuum at our last house, and its performance was disappointing, so we were skeptical about robotic vacuums in general. Still, with so much floor space in need of tending, we thought we'd give someone else a try.Enter the Narwal Flow. After a few weeks of fully automatic cleaning every other night, we've been converted to True Believers. The Flow was easy to set up and is even easier to use. I had it set up and doing its first mapping/patrolling within 15 minutes. Every other night, Mr. Narwal leaves his dock, patiently sweeps up all the grass, dirt, and other assorted dog-related grime, and when he's finished, he mops everything for good measure. The AI does a decent job with avoiding obstacles and self-correcting. It alerts me via the app if it gets into trouble and needs a helping hand. I've had to dislodge some area rug grip pads a few times, but I simply yank them out, and Mr. Narwal gets back to business with one click. The broad roller mop is what sold us on this particular robot, and I feel like it was the right choice for our floor. I can't see any streaks or cleaning marks, and it does a stellar job of cleaning without overwatering. I don't even use cleaning solution for the mopping; straight tap water seems to be doing the job. Since it only takes a minute, I empty the waste tank and fill the water reservoir every other deployment. The app is pretty straightforward, and it's fun to see the robot's progress as it zips around our house. You can even activate the cameras on the robot and see through its eyes if you want to go looking for wayward pets while you're away.Speaking of pets, we were worried that our dogs would be terrified of this thing, but after the first few deployments, they've pretty much accepted that it's not a threat and generally ignore it. Your mileage may differ, but it's a win for us.We've only had Mr. Narwal for about a month, but I definitely recommend this robot. It's easy to use and does a decent job on both our area rugs and vinyl plank flooring. Yes, he's a bit pricier than some models, but it feels like a good investment.Recommended.

Game changing Robot Vacuum brush but challenging Customer Service and App
We have had our Narwal for about a month now and all I can say is WOW!!! I am blown away by three things.1. The way the roller brush captures animal hair is mind blowing. We have an Irish Wolfhound that leaves hair throughout the house. Since we started using this, there is barely anything on the ground (daily cleaning) and have yet to have a brush tangle.2. The mop function is incredible. This vacuum/map does such an amazing job on our floors. Every morning we wake up to spotless floors.3. This thing is quiet. I actually like the fact that there is no dust bin capture in the base. It's so quick an easy to empty that it's really not an issue. You can barely hear the thing while it's cleaning the house. Truly impressed. The loudest part is when it cleans the mops, but even then it's not that loud.Setup was fairly easy, but as others have mentioned, connecting to your Wifi for the first time can be a challenge. It found my Wifi, I entered the password, but it wouldn't finish the setup. I just ended up force closing the app and opened it back up, started the process again and it went through.Mapping the house was fairly easy, but I did notice a few errors it made and had to remap a few times. Not a big deal as it's a very fast process. I ended up putting down fake cardboard walls to help it separate certain rooms (rather than making it one giant room). Seemed to fix the problem. I also had to cover a few mirrors in the house as it though there was a secret portal into another dimension! LOLThe app for the most part is intuitive and easy to use. Mapping a second floor is a PITA, and it does not work the same as it does for the first floor. You can only select an entire area rather than an individual room. Also, I can't figure out how to tell it to mop on the second floor as it needs it's base. Luckily for us we have mostly carpet on the second floor.Customer support is non existent so don't get your hopes up. I have emailed there team a few times and still no response. I have also tried the Reddit Forum and you get a response, but they tell you to email their CSR team and you fall into a never ending cycle of 'NO SUPPORT'. All of my issues have to do with the APP and not about the machine itself... just an FYI. Repair support may be faster. As for the machine and base itself. It's a premium robot vacuum and it is hands down the nicest looking of the bunch. We also got the auto water exchange system and it works like a dream. If you can plumb it in, make the purchase. You won't regret it!

Truly impressive robot vacuum and mop
This robot is simply excellent. From the very first use, it creates a highly accurate floor map, which then allows for a wide range of customization options: choosing the order of rooms, setting no-go zones, cleaning or avoiding carpets, adjusting suction power, cleaning intensity, and water flow for mopping. It detects stairs perfectly, moves intelligently, and does a surprisingly good job cleaning under tables and around chair legs, without missing any areas. The docking station is extremely convenient: it automatically washes the mop, refills with clean water, and empties dirty water with no manual intervention. The app lets you track the cleaning in real time on the map, and it’s clear that no part of the floor is overlooked.A purchase I absolutely don’t regret. Efficient, autonomous, and very well designed. Highly recommended.

Narwal Freo X Ultra
I have had experience with robotic vacuum cleaners and mops for years. This attractive and well designed product is the best one I’ve owned and it works perfectly.Narwal will doubtless be sending out OTA updates to make it even better. The thing is, it is really hard for me to find any fault with this product that is an improvement over its predecessor. With it able to work perfectly in fully automatic A.I. Freo Mind mode, it makes use of numerous sensors to detect and correctly react to dirt or spills in the most appropriate manner. If you want to make use of various settings yourself to modify the system, you will find the app provides you with vast control.Point is, the mopping pads are able to adjust pressure on the floor depending upon the surface. A little less downward pressure on your wooden floors versus your tiles. Those pads are kept clean and wet with prompt and effective washing with clean fresh water in the handsomely designed base. Detergent that is child and pet safe is automatically added to the water. When the cleaning job completes they are washed and dried with heated air. The washing tray is easy to remove and clean yourself as you should do every couple of weeks or so. The system is designed for maximizing cleaning performance, with no fiddly easy to fail mechanical washing methods.I also am so very pleased that with this powerful capable vacuum and mop to find out that it is amazingly quiet.A very large dustbin is made more efficient by the compression of the contained contents and disinfected and air drying to prevent any moisture from leading to bacterial growth and smells. The solution is in sync with the ability to handle potentially a longer, dump with a possible 7 weeks needed before tossing the expanding disposal filter bags/cartridges or you can use the included 1 litre more conventional dustbin with a washable filter. I have only used the newer disposal bins thus far and I am very happy to say they work as advertised. If you’re someone who has a few kids and several pets, you may have more frequently emptying and the easiest to empty conventional dust bin may be the way you end up going. Take note though that you are able to buy third parties filters and parts that are very cost effective. The Narwal Freo is a great machine that has been a success around the world, so no shortage of consumables are available for your long term enjoyment of this machine. It is an easy to setup product that you can trust to make your home as clean as possible and even do this while the family sleeps as it is so quiet and doesn’t have a super loud dirt handling solution that is subject to possibly clogging up with potentially damp dirt and dust.On so many levels, this mopping vacuum is a step above. I am very glad that I took the plunge and went with Narwal who have gone above and beyond in designing a super capable and easy to live with device to make your home better.Highly recommended.

Lots of positive things to say about this unit
I've had the Narwal Flow Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo for a couple of weeks now, and yeah, it's definitely top of the line for robot cleaners—it's over the top in a good way, even if it's not perfect.Setup and mapping went smoothly right out of the box. I installed the app, let it do its thing, and the LiDAR built a accurate map of the house on the first run without any major hiccups. Rooms got labeled decently, and tweaking no-go zones or virtual walls is straightforward—no constant fiddling required. The features are what make it feel premium: that 22,000 Pa suction handles dust, pet hair, and everyday debris really well. But the mopping stands out—the FlowWash system with the rolling track mop cleans itself in real time using water, a scraper, and hot water from the dock, so it actually scrubs without just spreading mess around. The self-emptying dock, mop washing, and drying mean I haven't had to do much hands-on work yet. Obstacle avoidance via the dual cameras is sharp—it spots and goes around cords, shoes, and random stuff reliably.I was pleasantly surprised it handles low-light or dark rooms without issues. The LiDAR navigates fine even when it's dim, and there's a small LED light that kicks in to help with spotting obstacles. I've run it in the evenings with the house lights off, and it doesn't bump into things or get confused like some other bots I've owned. The floors are noticeably cleaner after it runs—hard surfaces come out shinier from the mopping, and carpets look properly vacuumed. It's not completely flawless (edges sometimes still need a quick wipe, and it can get a little loud on max suction), but the performance is impressive and it's super low-maintenance. For a high-end combo that actually delivers on mopping without constant attention, this one's worth it. Solid 5 stars from me after these first couple weeks.

Functional and handy for a home with pets!
I have 3 dogs, and they like to shed a lot, which means lots of sweeping and mopping in my multi-floor home. I was a bit worried that this wouldn't be able to keep up, but am quite impressed with it!It handles daily cleaning quite well, easily picks up any hair, small chewed up rawhide, and lots of other things. It also supports multiple maps, so you can place it where it cant reach, and still clean that area! It seems to know and revisits areas where furniture was moved, and manages to get incredibly close to edges of cabinets, walls, etc.The software side of things took a bit of learning to get used to, and isn't perfect, (one time after an update, it turned off the automatic detergent and dust bag compression) but it gets updated quite frequently and each update makes it more reliable and user friendly. There used to be a glitch where the tasks would be deleted if the user changes maps, but the creators listen to feedback, as well as offer support, and patched the problem almost immediately.I love how easily / well it integrates with google assistant, and how easy it is to set up timed activities, so it cleans during the night. In fact, I like the Narwal Freo so much, that I bought a second one for the basement. While it will never quite replace a deep clean with a traditional mop and bucket, it will absolutely do a great daily clean inbetween, and increase the time between deep cleans significantly!
