Rejected by Plotters.
I have two HP500 Plotters and one HP800. I thought spending extra on this print head verses other refurbs might get me going again, but apparently the chip on these print heads is not reset because two plotters rejected the print head as defective rendering it quite useless. I will be attempting a refund and return.

Works as expected
The HPDesignJet 500 24” passed its prime time in technology but it is still a battle horse for wide format printing. Deeply sad and disappointed HP decided to discontinue the ink cartridges and print heads. I purchased this print head, installed and worked like a charm. It is a bit expensive but it is worth every bit compared to other cheap options. I purchased one on-line via Amazon for $20 that ended not working. Fortunately Amazon gave me a full refund without questions. In summary, this print head is worth the price due to its reliability, short supply in the market and superseded technology .
