Easy and Effective
I used to get the Terro Liquid Ant Bait traps, but the ants didn’t seem to be interested in them anymore. I tried the Combat bait stations, and they work fast and well. We had ants coming out from under our wall, and they were swarming the trap for hours. This morning, there are no ants in sight. I immediately bought more for backup. The traps are reasonably priced, easy to use, I don’t worry about the bait leaking out like I did with the Terro traps. They’re subtle looking as well. I am very impressed by these.

Great for Sugar Ants
I live in FL and have a constant problem with sugar ants. These bait stations do a fantastic job of keeping them at bay. Easy to use, effective and no leakage. They come four traps to a pack and sell for less than $7.00. But they work so well the pricing is a non-issue.

Awesome Product THAT WORKS!
This stuff WORKS! OMG, one evening the ants had taken over my kitchen counters, so I decided to order this Combat Max! Wow, I sure had my doubts, but the next morning there were maybe 6-10 tiny dead ants laying close by the bait stations, & the rest must have taken them back to the QUEEN, just like the package says! Not seen ONE SINGLE ANT in 2 nights now! Hurray, great product!!!!

It works. Need better quality control.
Bought this bait after having tried the other Combat ant gel (the one that comes in a syringe) which seems to have changed and doesn't seem to work anymore. You have to be careful when you break off the tab, to make sure it comes off cleanly in one piece and the bait chambers are properly exposed. My first one broke off improperly, and I had to poke a hole with a screwdriver to expose the bait. Also, you have to be careful when you break off the tab to make sure the liquid gel bait doesn't leak and splatter out. Can't speak for the solid brown bait, but the ants I had really took to the yellow gel side, and they were gone in a few days. One of the bait stations in the box I received had leaked out, and soaked the cardboard box. Looked like the seam between the top and bottom pieces of the bait station wasn't properly sealed. Not sure if this was poor manufacturing or maybe it was improperly stored. Wish folks would check for these things before it leaves the factory and before it leaves the warehouse.

Effective Ants Bait
Very effective, I noticed immediate results. I’ve been using them for about a week now and no ants crawling around. They really gravitate to the gel side. Very easy to use and definitely worth the price.

Very safe
When I looked up the toxin used in these, it seems they only contain enough of it to kill ants which isn’t very much since the toxin is 10 times more toxic to insects than humans. It’s nearly impossible to get poisoned by them by accident. I’ve manually made ant bait with boric acid that used both corn flour for one bait and sugar for the other so I like the idea of having both in a bait station. As usual though the effectiveness will depend on exact species of ant. For whatever we have around here they seem to be working well. Would buy again etc

Central Texas house invaders aren't interested in it
Around July-September in central Texas, we tend to get ants coming into the house, often searching for water during the long dry late-summer. if you happen to leave out any kind of food, they'll be all over it and they seem to like some kinds of laundry detergent and will swarm through your clean clothes trying to find the source of the scent (I suspect they're pretty confused about it as there's nothing to be found and after a couple of days they move on). I've tried a number of the liquid ant baits but they've always ignored them, which is curious since these critters do like sweet stuff and will mass around a honey or syrup bottle lid if you leave any remnants. Since this suggested it works on 11 types of ants, I figured I'd give it a try, but the ants ignored it. Perhaps they're just smart. I agree with others - the way you have to snap off the cover of the bait station is not so easy and those with arthritis may want to grab a pair of pliers to do the job. I'm sure this stuff does wonders for ants who are interested in it. If you can identify your ant type and match it to the 11 types this kills, you're even more likely to have success. I've had difficulty identifying my nests as the critters don't match descriptions I've sought out of common central Texas ant types. So for the time being, I get to live in an extended ant colony as I seek other ways to get rid of them. Sure, I could get a professional exterminator, but where's the fun in that?

Poison so strong I'm not sure it's getting taken back to the nest
Observations: The poison in it must be very strong. The first bait station I set out attracted a lot of ants, with a line heading off to the nest. But I noticed that ants that were taking the poison bait would start wandering randomly around the bait station, and within a day the bait station was surrounded by a spread of dead ants. And no further line of ants went back toward the nest. So while I can see the poison is effective, I'm not sure it's getting taken to the nest where it's supposed to wipe out the queen. Maybe just a bit too strong for our little ghost ants?
