Great, but still a little sweet
I normally make my own shakes, but I had surgery and need very easy options right now. I have gone through a few brands trying to find a shelf stable ready to drink option. Ultimately, I settled on this after a month of trying different ones. I like this because it doesn't have fillers, carrageenan, various alternative sweeteners, and so on. The sugar content is still a bit high for me, but I can thin it down with something else like decaf coffee for a mocha. It's more like a treat than a punishment.

Amazing
I survive off of these. I have a hectic work schedule so no time to eat. They are creamy and delicious. To me they are not too sweet. I saw many ppl saying that. These are lactose free which is a life savor. They are soooo good. Expensive but good

Delicious Chocolate Flavor and High in Protein
The chocolate flavor tastes great—rich and smooth without being overly sweet. It feels more like a treat than a typical protein drink. I also like that it is lactose-free and contains a lot of protein, making it a convenient and satisfying option after a workout or as a snack. Overall, a very tasty and nutritious drink that I would definitely buy again.

Freshness is Iffy
A Mixed Bag. Quality Control Issues. The product is very good when fresh or not compromised. However, it’s sickening when compromised. I ordered three 12-packs of this protein drink. I was on a liquid diet for 3-weeks after abdominal surgery. The first two 12-packs were excellent. But the third was sickening. I drank one and had serious gastric issues. I thought I may have consumed something else that may have contributed to the digestive problems. So, I tried another one. Same effect. I poured the remaining 10 down the drain and recycled the bottles. I would NOT purchase this shake again.

It tastes chocolately and smooth as chocolate milk should do. I like the high protein in it, too.

It's a yes !!
This Darigold chocolate milk is something that we have, after a learning curve, ordered multiple cases of. It is that enjoyable. Other similar chocolate milks have artificial sweeteners that we have learned to avoid, even though one such available locally is also very tasty. Had not paid attention to the ingredients as who would think to when drinking chocolate milk very rarely -- & just as a treat. The unwanted ingredients made the taste practically addictive. Imagine our disappointment to find the aspartame in there. Avoided chocolate milk for quite a while after that. Then, as things can go -- when really perusing Amazon -- an unexpected discovery was made. This Darigold is very enjoyable, w/no "chalkiness" detected, and made with ALL SAFE INGREDIENTS, too ! Ingredients... A shelf-stable staple --- chocolate treat hereabouts & henceforth. Review written 2.17.2026

Good protein drink
Delicious!!! Without too much sugar, rich texture and consistency, protein packed, lactose free too. Good value. I left it in the car after 3 weeks, it was still good.
