The most important thing I can tell you is to WASH IT IMMEDIATELY AFTER USE. If you leave coffee in it for even just one day, the smell will NEVER come out of the silicone band at the bottom. They do not offer replacements for just this piece either, which is a huge downside for me as one ripped and one has a smell because it got lost for a couple of days. I've tried everything and nothing removes that smell. Other than that... this is an amazing product. Never over brews, stays hot for HOURS, you'll never get a single ground in your mouth .. it's freakin magically.

My first review was not kind. Now that I've used it for a week I'm giving it 5 stars. I had forgotten that my first cup was tight when I first got it. But it loosened up nicely. That's what's happened to this cup. The first couple uses take a lot more effort to remove the plunger. Twist the plunger clockwise while pulling it out works best. After the third try it becomes easy. ------- Original Review My first Presse worked great. Excellent coffee easy to clean. Couldn't recommend it more highly. BUT! This second one has a major flaw. It's way too difficult to pull the press out of the cup after I've finished drinking. Either the clearance between the press and cup was reduced or the rubber hardness was increased. Unless I can get this fixed I'll need to return this cup. All that being said... the coffee is still great.

Love it, like the stainless steel option, might need to replace the mesh filter though, cause it wears out soon
