Little do they know that their Boeing 757 aircraft will face an unidentifiable storm, one completely unrecognisable from anything on this Earth. Not quite "Plan 9 from Outer Space" but not far off either. I absolutley loved it and it inspired me to check my history and geography.As many have mentioned the sight of quantities of some version of an ME262 German Jet fighter (usually thought to have come into service in June 1944) attacking our heroes with no effect inspite of their four nose mounted 30mm cannon was challenging to credibility. I also wondered why the film was called Flight 1942 when the action seemed to be taking place in June 1940. Perhaps the "researchers" had simply confused June 1944 and June 1940 and went for a half way deal.. aka 1942! Anyway all this confusion was explained by the fact that "our history seems to have changed"!! There were so many inconsitencies and inaccuracies it sent me straight to my text book to see whether I had already been living in a world of "Alternative facts!"Once satisifed that the history was wrong and not me going mad I concentrated on geography. Trying to find its bearings Flight 42 flies into a bombing raid on St Nazaire and then apparently flies over Rennes. Given its immediate proximity to the English coast you are left to wonder why the plane finally ends up over Metz while trying to fly to Switzerland. All is explained by a quick look at their map! Not to be taken seriously... ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars A just middling time slip feature *by L***K on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 July 2016* This incredibly low budget feature reminded me most readily of an episode of the Outer Limits or similar science fiction masters TV serial or presentation.The story's synopsis is not that different from other "time out of joint" ideas. A present day air liner travels through an electric storm and appears in the past, it moves first from the drama on board between cabin crew and passengers when they imagine that their instruments have all been knocked out never imagining its anything stranger than that, contact is made with allied forces before an electric storm occurs again providing the plane with the possible avenue back to the present.There is perhaps a kind of "prime directive" element, in that the passengers and crew, with foreknowledge of history have to decided should they or could they change the course of history and questioning if they have done already.
