They look good, they are durable, they can take a lot of use. You can have fun painting them and my son has had hours of fun with his castle. He plays with his knights and horses with the castle and has a great time. It is also of a reasonable size, but not huge, so about 1 foot square in total I highly recommend this as a toy and present, especially to any friends with kids who are into minimalism or non plastic toys, this should tick all their boxes. Classic toy. As an aside a friend's child urinated on the castle (their version of hot tar methinks!) and after being wiped down and dried out, it's still going strong, proving cardboard can be tough.
