Just like the original stick, it is very minimalist. One fire button on the top left of the base and that's your lot. Compared to a modern joypad of course it's not just as comfortable as we have come to expect these days but against that it should stand lots of use. Certainly my original CX40 stick that came with my VCS back in the day never broke - unlike pretty much all of the fancy third party sticks that I bought when they started to become available later on in the 80s. It's also pretty responsive with a short throw. If you have retro hardware that uses a compatible DB9 connector like Atari 2600VCS, Atari 8-bit home computer, C= 64, Atari ST or C= Amiga then this is well worth getting.
