Review: Very healthy spread.. - If you're going to spread something on a low carb, healthy "bread", I think this is a great choice. I really like the taste and love the ingredients. Lots of ingredients, which is why it's expensive....but I believe, WORTH IT. Check it out. I'm glad I found it.
Review: Very Tasty and Improved Health - UPDATE: I re-ordered another jar and it tastes wonderful. I will continue to use this on a daily basis. I've used other products from ISHA over time which helped improve my overall health. Unfortunately the jar's vacuum seal had been broken in transit despite that it had a clear platic wrapping on the lid. Could've happened with extreme weather or pressure changes. When I fully opened the jar, it was obvious it had been spoiled because of the bad odour. It is important, as with any jarred food product, to make certain that it *pops* when twisting off the jar lid. In this case it didn't because it lost it's vacuum seal as you can see in the attached photo. I fully opened it the moment it arrived and the product's content had already came into the inner sides of the lid also indicating a broken vacuum. The exchange process is different, must speak with desertcart to get an desertcart credit, which desertcart promptly did. Instead of taking a risk of getting another damaged jar, I opted to order ISHA tea instead of which I'm happy with. I'll likely re-order this product directly from ISHA.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Why does this say no animal products on the lable but has ghee and honey?**
A: the label says it's Vegetarian, honey and ghee are allowed.
underneath it that it contains dairy.   sugar, honey and ghee are in 99% of chavanprash rasayanas.  they help to metabolize the herbs and antioxidants into the body.

**Q: Does this need to be refridgerated after opening container?**
A: No. It says to store at room temperature. That's what I have been doing and it stays well. Just make sure to keep the lid closed tight to prevent it from drying out. I don't use it as traditional "jam" but eat a spoonful by itself.

**Q: Why does the description say sugar-free if it has sugar? (label)**
A: Hello, the Jam does not contain any additionally added sugar. The label shows sugar from natural ingredients that goes in the making of the jam.

**Q: Some questions: 1) does it pass ca prop 65 test limits for lead, arsenic etc? 2) is the honey cooked? 3) why does label show 0% fat, even with ghee?**
A: There is no ghee in this recipe nor any honey. I don’t know about ca prop 65, but the product is certified organic.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Chyawanprash for good health and a good cause

Loved it! Ordered 3x so far. Tried it as a spread on toast, in warm milk as recommended, and experimented as a flavoring in coffee, tea, and baking. If this is your intro to chyawanprash & ayurvedics in general, the sweet/sour taste, dark color, and texture of this jam may take getting used to. As with most natural products, variation in consistency is to be expected from batch to batch, e.g., the chunky bits noted by other users is due to natural crystallization of the honey. Expiration date, shipping and room temperatures may also affect consistency. Health benefits of ayurvedic products vary from individual to individual, but I did notice subtle improvement in energy, digestion, & mental function, sustained through the day, without the jitters associated with caffeine. I do agree with some reviewers about the seal on the jar needing upgrading, and/or better packaging for shipping. Grateful to Isha Life and Foundation, which purchases of their products help to support.
