Is there an expiration date?** A: I used it right away since I needed it for an experiment. But I am sure that it will last for at least 6mo to 9mo in the fridge **Q: do you remove the lid completely to microwave? Or do you just loosen the lid. Wanting to avoid exposure to bacteria before pouring in petri dishes.** A: Loosening the lid should be fine, as long as the bottle isn't sealed **Q: Is bottle autoclavable?** A: Yes, but you will need to loosen the cap first. **Q: Do you have to use it all after heating it up? Or, say 1/2 one week keep it in the refrigerator and reheat it to use the other 1/2 a month later?** A: You can heat it up and pour the amount needed and then let it cool and reheat it again.
