Great for simple parallel and series resistance demonstrations
These old-fashioned miniature E10 screw bulbs will fit some old torches and toys but a large set like this can also be used for simple electrical demonstrations such as showing how resistance varies differently in parallel and series circuits just by showing how bright the bulbs shine (no need for a confusing multimeter to measure the actual resistance). However, if you don't have any E10 bulb holders you'll need to get handy with a soldering iron or even sticky tape and Blu Tack! These bulbs are all rated at 3.8V and 0.3 amps which means a single bulb will shine brightly with two 1.5V AA batteries (or dimly with just one), don't ever use a 9V battery with these bulbs, they'll blow instantly. I thought I could replace an old blown bulb in a toy projector we bought for our daughter years ago but after getting out the magnifying glass I noticed the old bulb was rated at 2.5V, so although these bulbs work they do not shine bright enough for the projector. Bear that in mind if you are looking for replacement bulbs. If you intend to reuse the cardboard storage box after completing your experiments I suggest slightly twisting the bulbs as you insert and remove them so they still fit well in the holes.

Work well for me - tested 2 in 2 or
I tried 2 out in battery torches and they worked just as expected. I'm happy. Delivery was quick too.
