**Q: How do I mount this?**
A: The purpose of the block is to provide a flat surface to mount a light or other items. The item you mount screws into the siding and the block is held in place by the same screws... as the block is between the wall and object.

**Q: Are these bright white color mounts paintable?**
A: I bought two of a different design, but same material. Get some spray primer, like 123 Primer, and a good paint for outdoors. Scuff the surface with sandpaper, and prime. Let dry and do it again. Scuff then paint, scuff then paint. Mine look great and very durable.

**Q: Could you please post a photo with the dimensions of the product referential to the lap and the slope since there are many types ?**
A: You can see that on the Amazon website

**Q: what kind of mounting block do I use  to hook up a motion light on a wood shed?**
A: You don't need a mounting block, just attach to to siding.

Was not a perfect fit for my particular Dutch Lap. I had to do a little bit of trimming with a utility knife. Really not too bad. Will probably fit other types of Dutch Lap with no problem. I will definitely use these again
