I’ve been using the Govee Smart Plug for a few weeks now, and overall it’s been a reliable, easy-to-use addition to my smart home setup. Setup & Connectivity Right out of the box, setup was smooth. The plug connects to my 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network quickly, and the Govee app walks you through the process step-by-step. Once connected, it shows up in the app as well as in both Alexa and Google Assistant, so controlling it with voice commands works without any issues. Features & Performance The timer and scheduling features are particularly useful. I’ve set routines for my lamp and fan — lights turn on in the evening and the fan turns off automatically at night. The “group” feature allows multiple plugs to act together, which is handy if you want several devices to switch on/off simultaneously. The plug itself feels solid and doesn’t block the second outlet on my power strip, which is always appreciated. In daily use, the responsiveness is fast — commands from the app or voice assistant are executed almost instantly. If you are doing Alexa do these. I have tried many other plugs and bulbs, including Amazon Basics and they so far have all been garbage except these. Here is why. I suffer frequent power outages which puts alexa in a tizzy, often resulting in having to repair everything. The Govee lights and plugs do not suffer this. With Govee there is no pairing, just plug in the plugs or light bulbs and the Govee app finds them without issue. And even if Alexa decides to go unresponsive for days on end, the Govee app still controls all of its devices without issue. If Govee ever developes a voice control Alexa will be gone from my home.

Love these little smart plugs. Used them to set up a light timer for my fish tank and it’s been working like a charm. You have to use the govee app but I’ve had no issues with that. I have some other govee devices so it’s great to have them all controlled from the same app.

These smart plugs are pretty convenient and super easy to get set up. Price was on point. My only issue is that the photos are misleading. In standard electrical outlets, 2 plugs will not fit into one outlet one over the other. They're too large. I bought these to have my bearded dragon's lights on a timer, but had to use a power strip in order to plug both cords into the same outlet box at the same time.

I have so many of these for so many things! Fish tank light Frog tank light Grow lights on my indoor plants Salt lamps and little ambient lights throughout my home I can control every one individually through the Govee app and set timers. Especially since I’m running some for living critters, they need consistent light at certain times. I also have ADHD and am notorious for forgetting EVERYTHING, so automatic, easy to use plugs for my plants/animals lights is really a necessity for me. I got more to use for my little salt lamps and other ambient lights that I like to have on at night time because I also always get into bed forgetting to turn these little lights off and you can turn the plugs on and off right in the app so I’m not getting back out of bed 100 times. I swear these have made quality of life and ease of literally everything so much better. And they don’t take up multiple outlet spaces either.

Fantastic as always. I've yet to buy a Govee product that I didn't absolutely love. I bought some led wall art that has no switch and the only way to turn it off is to unplug it. Got this plug and now I can turn it on and off with my phone. I used the other 3 to control my projectors and neon signs. The app is wonderful and you can even separate your products by rooms. I am truly a fan of this company!

Works great! Using it to turn my outdoor bird bath on & off at designated times. The remote feature works well as long as your Wifi is strong enough to reach. So far, I would recommend.

I absolutely love these smart plugs! They give me peace of mind when I leave the house because I can turn off the power to anything plugged in directly from the app. I also like that they can be turned on and off manually. They are very convenient and easy to use.

Product arrived quickly and was well packaged. They were easy to install. They worked well with no hiccups. I plugged them in - one at a time without attaching them to the light fixtures first and then added them to my WiFi and Alexa. Then I attached them to the lights that I wanted to plug into them. Everything worked right. thanks.

The plug seems to work well and I haven’t had any connectivity issues. It was very easy to set up and connect to my wifi. I really like that they provide an API key upon request. The app is not terrible but could really use a hard look by a UX designer because the workflows are pretty unintuitive and not super flexible. I really had to get the old noodle churning to cludge together a solution via ios shortcuts. Worked in the end though and I’m happy with it. I’d recommend putting these guys on your guest network if you have one.
