Review: It stirs, it serves, it's a spoon.... - Does the job of a spoon but isn't silver and as far as I know nobody has been born with this in their mouths. For stirring food and then serving it out it is hard to imagine a better design than this (or indeed any other) spoon. At a push you could put some googly eyes on the convex side and make a friend for yourself. If you need a spoon then this is one.

**Q: What's the capacity of the bowl in ounces?**
A: Happy New Year!  Sorry for the late answer.  Spoon bowl is about 2 ounces, the ladle is about 4 ounces.  I filled spoon and ladle until all around rim is full, then dumped water into Pyrex measuring cup.  2 spoons to make 4 oz, 1 ladle to also make 4 oz.

**Q: Do these oxo good grips nylon utensils have heavy handles? my current one has such a heavy handle it flips out of the bowl.**
A: I've never had that problem. I will say, though, don't expect some kind of high quality / nice handle. It's all just one big molded piece of nylon.

**Q: How long?**
A: The Oxo spoon is 13 1/2 inches long.

**Q: Is the spoon supposed to come apart? I just received mine and the two parts of the handle separate pretty easily.**
A: No, I would send it back for a replacement. Mine does not come apart at all.

It’s really great spoon I bought 2, very high quality, Heat resistance, easy to clean no hassle, the handle is long and you can scoop sauce easily which I find very useful, I definitely recommend this spoon

I made this purchase after i realised my plastic spoons needed to be replaced as they're quite flimsy and melted (!) I thought id spend a little more than i usually do on a spoon. The oxo brand for me, is a trustworthy household name so i didnt hesitate on buying. I was not disappointed at all. Its strong and stylish. You can tell this product is meant to last. I will definitely stick to oxo utensils, even if it is a bit more in price. It's worth the money as you will probably spend the same replacing the flimsy ones.
