And I'm surprised! I first used liquid smoke when I was making a diabetes barbecue chicken leg recipe 10 years ago (out of a recipe book that called for liquid smoke specifically). My kids and I loved it! Apparently though, liquid smoke is hard to come by 🤦🏼‍♀️ especially in original flavor. I was trying to find it for a recipe recently and no stores had it, all sold out. I took a chance with this one as a substitute with the hopes that it would suffice for the recipe. It has surpassed my expectations! I have used it for the initial recipe and it did the job, then again a few times in deviled eggs (adding bacon crumble on top - delish)! I just wish this stuff wasn't so expensive. It is very hard to find in a single bottle, and often what's available in that area flavor varieties which I won't ever use...or two pack which makes the purchase astronomical for something I will use rarely. That's why I gave it four stars.
