If you mount these to fiber siding (overlap) you will need to get a mount (that matches the color of your siding) from home depot or menards to create a flat vertical surface. The Dashua PFB203W is mounts to your siding and is held by a bracket held by tabs and a set screw. You mount you mount the bracket (level) with 4 screw 1st. Then you have to hang the wall mount (with camera screwed in in) and tighten the set screw. There must be clearance for the camera an mount to slide onto the bracket tabs. You have to account for the vinyl siding overhand and assure clearance. You can avoid this worry by getting (as indicated earlier) a color matched wall mount from a hardware store. It's the same kind of mount you would use for mounting an outside hose hanger. I used a tap and die set to create threaded holes where I needed them.Very, very happy with the quality and aluminum construction. I don't understand why one would use one of the many plastic mounts for a dome camera, when one of the concepts of the dome is that its seeks to be more vandal-proof (the dome protecting the camera). What good is a vandal proof camera if its lying on the floor because it was attached to a piece of brittle plastic. And with this mount, you're not giving up ascetics for the functionality.
