The reviews were great, so I even ordered two. We have two cats and a large litter box, so I wanted them to be comfy with no crowding. I knew we'd have some adjustment. So at first I just put them next to the existing litter box so they'd get used to the fan noise. I wasn't too concerned when neither cat used it - the big open one is just too inviting. After a week I removed the large one, and the accidents immediately started. I was determined to make it work, so I then tried turning off the fans so they'd get used to the enclosed boxes. That helped. Turn the fans back on after a week, and piles of you-know-what began appearing in closets and bathtubs. I took the tops off and set them a couple feet away with the fans on, and it didn't help. Turned the fans off, and they were fine. Tried this a couple more times over a couple more weeks but no luck. I finally ran out of patience asking the wife to clean the piles we were finding all over, so I moved the old large litter box back in and these overly expensive contraptions are taking up room in the storage garage. Expensive lesson. The fans will scare some cats. Try one first so you don't have the $350 lost investment I had. Or try putting a regular small fan next to your existing litter boxes to see if it will bother your cats. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cats don't mind it at all *by M***T on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on April 26, 2015* The product was easy to set up and sounds pretty much like a deep freezer running.Once I started venting the poop air outside I went around the house to make sure it wasn't gassing out passersby.I noticed no offensive odor even standing directly next to the outlet.My cats have used electronic cat boxes and regular cat boxes as well as boxes with hoods and boxes without hoods. They are well-rounded in the cat box world and seem to have no problem with this one despite the whirring noise that comes from inside of it.I think this is mainly because the sound is fairly quiet and constant.This is the only cat box I have ever seen that solves the problem for cat owners that have cats that don't bury their #2. ### ⭐⭐ Works when assembled properly *by Z***M on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on December 5, 2014* The catbox is too small for two cats, I adapted the vent to a larger box. The outlet of the fan snapped off several times until I epoxied it on. Not very well built, wouldn't send a replacement fan (offered to fix it if I sent it back---at my expense). So I would have to pay to send back a broken fan and have a hole in my cat box as I waited for them to fix it???
