After getting my last one gummed up with protein powder, I saw this reasonably priced scale with easy-to-read numbers and I snapped it up. I'm glad I did.I like its simple operation and its moderate size. Its buttons solve the previous problem with protein powder because they've covered with a flexible membrane -- there are no cracks between buttons and scale for the powder to fall into. I especially appreciate those big, bright red numerals, perfect for a nearsighted codger like me.My only qualm is that whenever you push any button on this scale, it makes too much noise. I would prefer the buttons to be silent, and so would my wife. It's a small annoyance, but that's what kept this fine piece of handy tech from earning the coveted five-star rating. It's still great, though -- I would have given it 4.5 stars if that were possible. ### ⭐ Updated review since this scale it’s up batteries while not being used *by D***A on Reviewed in the United States on June 16, 2018* I I am updating my review after having this scale for a couple of weeks. At first it seemed to work fine, there were some issues with them sending me dead batteries in the scale but I didn’t pay any attention to it. I put my own batteries in use the scale everything was fine shut it off stored it in the next time I went to use it the batteries were dead. I thought that was kind of odd. I put three more new Amazon batteries in and today when I went to use the scale it was dead again. For some reason the scale Does not shut off or is defective and continues to use up the battery power.
