Wheat straw is THE thing to use for feral cats. Oat straw, hay, paper rabbit bedding material all get mildew and don't dry. Wheat straw is the only product that is safe for a feral colony. And since I just started using this brand, I can say it's very tightly packed and very clean. Competitors I've purchased it the past, not so much. Buy this, you'll be pleased. **Q: Can i pull the straw apart to place in a plastic bin to keep a feral cat warm?** A: It's a "lifetime" supply of straw and you'll need to snip the cords holding the bale together, but yes you can use it as bedding for a feral cat house.
