Great little household helper!
I should start this review by stating, very clearly, that I am not a domestic goddess. My natural inclination to slovenliness is exacerbated by the other inhabitant of the house, a grumpy cocker spaniel who does not pull his weight with the household chores and traipses all sorts of mud, dust, food and hair everywhere. A colleague had let slip in a meeting that they had a robot vacuum and I had laughed at the thought - "don't they just scare pets and get lost/stuck in inconvenient places?", I asked. Then, several weeks ago the state of the house was really starting to get me down and I bit the bullet and started researching. A top of the range model looked appealing, but as I was still not really convinced it was a good idea, I wasn't prepared to spend £400-£500 on one. Then I found this Eufy G30 model - not quite the latest technology, but tried, tested and - with a helpful special offer - considerably cheaper. It arrived quickly - thank you Amazon Prime! - and once unpacked the first challenge was to find a suitable "Home" location for the base. This was more challenging than I expected as it should be positioned at least a metre away from any obstacles, but close to a plug socket. As I have a small-ish house all my sockets tend to be in the corners of rooms - the most convenient spot was in the corner of the living room, tucked behind the sofa. It isn't ideal, and occasionally it will get lost on the way back home, but 90% of the time it is fine. After charging up the unit and forcing myself to do the basic "pick everything up off the floor" style tidy, it was time to unleash the beast. It's fair to say that the first couple of cleans were entertaining to watch, but a bit underwhelming. The spinning brush went missing on the first clean (sabotage from the canine housemate, I later found it in his bed!) and the unit got stuck between a dining chair and table on the second. However, once we sorted out the first few snags I was seriously impressed at how much dirt and dust it can collect. I tried the automatic mode, but this wasn't working for the amount of dirt in my house, so I keep it on Max power - as a serious point, the dog is terrified of my big vacuum cleaner and whilst he looks at the Eufy very suspiciously and stays out if its way, he is much less bothered by it, so I'm justifying it with reduced canine stress levels as well. We now have a routine, the dog and I leave the house for our morning walk and set the Eufy off to clean downstairs. By the time we get back my lounge, kitchen and dining room floors are dust, hair and food free - it genuinely makes so much difference to how I feel. Once a week I set it up to clean upstairs. The first time I did this I realised that I had definitely made the right choice. The newer units are taller to accommodate more brushes and mop features, but this little champ can actually squeeze under my divan base. It's amazing! I empty it about once or twice per week, which is very easy but I do tend to spill dust as I'm doing it and the filter cartridge gets clogged up quite easily. I hope that spares are readily available as I suspect I'll need a few. It can't pick up big pieces of debris (e.g. dog kibble), but handles most other things well. The spot cleaning function is OK, but I generally just set it off to clean everywhere. I tried the remote control function from the app and found it a bit pointless, I just pick the unit up and put it where I want it instead. All in all, I'm really happy with this purchase. It seems sturdy and I hope it lasts a couple of years - I just need them to invent a version that can climb stairs and dust higher up places as well :)

Very impressive robotic hoover - the Eufy 15C
I purchased this hoover owing to my always never having enough time to get the hoovering done around my Autistic son. I had been watching it for a while on Amazon and then a daily deal came up for this model so I purchased it. Mine is the Eufy 15C. My wife was very dubious about it when I brought it home and it scoffed it as another one of my ‘man gadgets’ but as hoovering is one of my many self-committed routine tasks it was willing to give it a go. My wife has since retracted her statement and tells everyone about our new member of the family lol. I have been using a cyclonic hoover for a while but as with most hoovers, they can be quite noisy, which unfortunately doesn't sit well with my son’s disability so we could only really hoover when he was at school etc and as we both work full time so this was always a bit of an issue. I decided on the robotic vacuum as I could set it going while no-one is at home which would be ideal. Well I must say I am actually very impressed with this item. It is actually very quiet, in fact so quiet that you could effectively have it running at night to a degree. It sounds nothing like a normal hoover, you just here the sound of gentle ‘whoosh’ as it soldiers on sucking up the dirt. I generally have to set it to run twice (owing to point 1 below) but it does a very good job of picking up dust and keeping the house tidy, I have it running 3 times a week now on the schedule built into the Android app and I am very happy as a result. The suction is pretty good for the size of the unit, its beyond me how it manages to pick up so much as the dust collector always seems to be pretty full after every run, the dust collector is nice and easy to empty too. We have a mixture of carpet, rugs, wooden and tiled floors and works well on all, it has therefore taken up the job of a hoover and a floor brush. Unfortunately there are some minor issues and these are the ones I have encountered so far: 1) Unfortunately it goes around the house aimlessly hoovering as it does, this has sometimes resulted in the vacuum covering the same rooms multiple times, whilst its great that those rooms are then incredibly clean it runs out of charge so it can’t complete the job in one go (although I have quite a large bungalow). 2) It doesn’t detect black or reflective items very well, whilst this isn’t really a problem you will no when it has detected a black object as you will hear a bang as it bumps into it. The hoover does have a reactive front bumper though which suppresses the knocks so it shouldn’t damage anything. Anything else, including clothes left on the floor, it seems to detect it quite well and keeps away from the object by a couple of inches, turns and then heads on its merry way. 3) Some thin carpets cause an issue. One of my children has one of those playmat rugs/carpets, the type that is made up of roads and a town/farm that sort of thing. It is quite a large one though so I leave it down otherwise I would just lift it out of the way. The hoover can sometimes get caught on the edge as it goes over the top of it and it has climbed so high that it almost flips over as a result. This has happened on many occasions but not always, it really depends on what angle the hoover approaches the rug at. 4) The Hoover can climb! I have found it mating with the shoes on our shoe rack on the first rung on a couple of occasions. Don’t ask me how it’s made it up there but it has, I just lift it off and away it goes again. A word of warning; make sure you move any cables, bits of string etc out of the path of the hoover, I would also recommend tidying up any frayed carpet or move any mats that have frayed edges on them (even by design) off the floor. Basically, the hover can’t detect them and will happily gobble them up stopping the hoover in its tracks! The hoover will stop at that point and send an alert to the app advising what the problem is which is a very good feature, you can then use the ‘locate’ option to locate the hoover, address the issue, and then get it going again, this will teach you what to look out for the next time! I had a situation where the hoover managed to slip under a set of drawers in a bedroom and gobble up the lamp cable which was up against the wall at the back of the drawers which sent the lamp crashing to the ground. I didn’t actually think the hoover would make it under there but it did, I now just block the opening with a couple of thin boxes and the hoover detects them and then backs away. These are all things you learn and you will get a fair idea of what you need to tidy away or up before you set the hoover going. I would recommend keeping an eye on it for the first couple of runs just so you can get an idea of the issues it may face and address them, if any. To be honest I have no doubt you will follow it around at first anyway just out of sheer curiosity, unless this isn’t your first robotic vacuum. I like the way it can be controlled from anywhere and the fact you can set schedules. The other thing I like is the fact you can set it to do spot cleaning and edge cleaning etc, these are very handy as you can just pick the hoover up, place it over the spot and set the specific task running. The hoover also has its own controller if you don’t have and Android or Apple iPhone but I haven’t actually used it. All in all, I am really attached to our little ‘road sweeper - Mr Hoover’ (named by our children) it does a great job and deals with a tedious task very well. As I have it running multiple times a week the floors are now a lot cleaner. I would envisage still having to take the full on hoover once in a while, although there hasn’t been a need yet, and it may be purely as a curiosity exercise to see how much is left behind by the Eufy. Would I recommend it, yes, is it worth the money, yes, has it made my Autistic son happy that he doesn’t need ear defenders any more when the hoover is running, a huge yes! If you have the money go buy it!

Pretty good at cleaning but Dynamic Navigation is not as it seems
I replaced a cheap robot vacuum cleaner with this one specifically for the power of the vacuum and for the Dynamic Navigation. I’m not disappointed with the cleaning, it cleans up really well, however the Dynamic Navigation is nowhere good enough at the moment. It’s mapping is sketchy and if it get stuck in areas, rather than marking them with a red mark in the map and avoiding them, it will try to clean them again and get stuck. It will only go half way around a circular table one day and then go back, the next day it will navigate around it successfully, the day after it won’t even go to that area so I have no idea where it will clean. The bump technology to detect walls and edges starts fine; finds a wall, but halfway along decides not to map part of the wall as solid so there are big gaps in the outlines of the rooms which probably doesn’t help the mapping. It’s really disappointing as I read that it was meant to use Dynamic Navigation to improve its mapping every time it cleaned, but it really doesn’t seem to be the case, with rooms often part cleaned. In fact, I’d say it does exactly the same thing as my 5 year old robot vacuum that had no mapping ability at all. It deals with wooden floors really well, medium loose pile rugs pretty well but gets stuck every so often however will alert you with its voice function and phone notification, but this could be improved by the vacuum remembering problem places and marking them with a red dot/marker so they could be avoided while cleaning. Battery life is excellent, getting 124 minutes on one clean, and the ability to have 4 different type of suction, with BoostIQ dynamically changing the suction required for different floor types it encounters. There was a Firmware update recently, one of the fixes was to stop it from getting stuck which helped a little more, but it still got stuck in roughly the same areas (on the rugs) and still didn’t mark the map areas where it did get stuck so it will blindly continue to try to clean problem areas. Autohome charging is a little clumsy too, it just bumbles around bumping into furniture and walls until it manages to find its way home. It seems to not use the map because if it would follow the map it had created it would be back at the charger in seconds rather than minutes. I am in contact with Eufy support about the what the Dynamic Mapping is mean to do over and above their earlier models and so far, from their responses, it seems almost nothing, it’s a gimmick rather than a navigation tool for the vacuum, the ability to see a map in the application. There’s plenty to like about this vacuum, small, decent size dirt storage container, really quiet, great battery life, good app with the ability to spot clean and change the suction type, ability to look at the map, good power for the vacuum, and see where the device is, but don’t believe the Dynamic mapping makes it very smart, in fact I’d go so far as to say it’s almost useless. Smart mapping was a big reason for my purchase hence only a 3 star review. Update: the firmware update seems to have made the device much worse. It now won’t travel in a straight line, it goes across the room at a slight angle and maps room edges in the map incorrectly as a result. It now also always get stuck in the black sections of the multicoloured rugs we have, seemingly like the sensors don’t know where it is, and gives a device error 6, device is trapped or stuck message. Again I have reported this to Eufy support who have forwarded this information to their product people. Subsequently, I have amended my rating to two star because now I cannot rely on it not to get stuck when using a cleaning schedule, which is particularly frustrating when it gets stuck over and over again in the same place it got stuck in before. Update 2: 5/08/20 This is the second attempt at an update as the first seemed to disappear. I’ve been in constant discussion with Eufy, who have been absolutely first class support wise. They’ve worked with me to try to get an acceptable resolution and I can say they’ve gone absolve and beyond what I expected. The crux of the problem for me is the navigation and the issue of stopping on small, dark sections of a multicoloured rug. The mapping, I don’t think there is anything Eufy can do with this model. The L70 has a far more comprehensive mapping capability, but is more expensive. However the cleaning on the G70 is just as good as the L70 on that front, and cleaning is excellent on both models. In summary, if your expecting an intelligent, customisable mapping experience from this model, then you’ll be disappointed, and maybe the L70 should be looked at. The black section issue Eufy have given me a workaround to, if not perfect. By covering the sensors on the front and side of the device it will happily clean these rugs (picture shown of rug pattern) without issue. It no longer thinks it’s stuck and does a great job. However, this is only good if the device can be used in an environment where a drop is not possible. It would be great if Eufy could enable this ability in software and firmware rather than me covering the sensors in tape, and if it realised that if it got into that area it could retrace it’s steps to get back to a previously safe area. Eufy have taken all my suggestions on board and are going to put them forward to the product teams, but I can’t reiterate enough how fantastic their support have been. Reminds me of how Amazon used to be a few years ago. I am amending my review again, however I am going to clarify it by saying it gets an extra star just for the amazing support Eufy have given which should be taken into consideration when purchasing a product. 3 stars for the Product and the extra star for the support, whom I would give 5 stars alone if I could.

X8 pro SES - Great little helper
Update 15th July 2026. One of my best buys. Still going strong after 2 years and 9 months. Never a moments bother, I clean her ever 6 weeks or so, remove hair from her wheels and sweeper brush, check the filter and roller brush and replace if necessary. Hair doesn't tangle around the roller brush at all due to the self cleaning. Replacement parts are reasonably priced. Still loving it. June 2024 Love this. Had it 9 months so feel able to give a well tested review. I chose this because of the empty station and mop. However, the mopping function is more of a floor wipe and I probably would've been better getting the cheaper SES eufy vacuum without the mop function. I have still given 5 stars because I'm so happy with the performance of this little beauty. First set her to mapping the layout of your house via the app (which is excellent in my opinion) close any doors of the rooms you don't want to include, I won't let her (yes she's a she, she vacuums!) into my son's room for obvious reasons. Then, in the app, section off the doorways to enable you to name your rooms. You can set her to clean individual rooms or the whole house, auto clean by day and time or set it off manually via the app or using Alexa. She only got lost once when the wifi went off but I left her alone and in a couple of minutes she reconnected spun a couple circles and went happily on her way. There is an option to vacuum just a small area of a room by drawing on the map, works a treat. You can have multiple maps but I've only used one. The dust box is small but this isn't a problem because when she's full she'll go back to her station and empty then go back to where she left off and resume cleaning. The route is planned, not random. First she'll go around the edge of the room anticlockwise so the edging brush gets right up to the skirting board. Then she plans her route not going over the same area twice unless she has to cross it to get to her next job. I can definitely recommend this machine, we have dogs, we live on a farm and the family call her my indoor baler, she's been well tested in that respect. She goes round everyday and honestly my house has never been so clean, I just wish she could reach the cobwebs on my ceilings.

Eufy
I’m really happy with my Eufy vacuum cleaner. It cleans very well, is easy to use and makes everyday cleaning much easier. The suction is great, and it does a fantastic job picking up dust, dirt and pet hair. It’s also a good choice for keeping the house clean when you have a dog. Overall, great quality for the price. I would definitely recommend it! 👍

Sent for a Docking Fault—Returned Dismantled and Unusable
⭐ 1 star Great vacuum and mop when working—but a nightmare when it needed repair I purchased my Eufy S1 Pro through Amazon and spent over £1,300 on it. I have bought several Eufy machines because I genuinely rate their cleaning performance. Unfortunately, my experience with Anker/Eufy’s after-sales support has completely undermined that confidence. This robot developed a wheel spring fault that prevented it from docking properly without manual assistance. Apart from that, it still vacuumed and mopped normally. It was complete, assembled and usable when I sent it to their repair centre. Although it was outside the standard warranty, Eufy voluntarily offered a free inspection and attempted repair. They explained that a successful repair was not guaranteed and that, if it could not be repaired, they would return my original device. I understood and accepted that. What I did not expect was to receive it back completely dismantled, filthy, with parts and screws missing and sections not put back together. A robot I could previously use with manual docking assistance was now completely unusable. They told me their repair centre did not have the necessary parts. Their proposed solution was then a discount towards buying another machine. That did nothing to address why my existing robot had been returned in a substantially worse condition. Since then, I have spent far too much time exchanging emails explaining the same distinction: I am not asking them to guarantee an old machine forever. I am asking them to correct what happened while it was in their care and return it at least as usable as it was when I sent it. At one point, they specifically confirmed that they would replace the missing parts and screws, reassemble it, address the wheel and docking faults, test its functions and contact me before returning it if the issues remained unresolved. Later replies reverted to saying they would “do our very best” and could not guarantee a successful repair. Those changing assurances have left me feeling misled and unsure what they are actually committing to do. Replies have generally arrived at a rate of around one email per day, often without directly answering the questions asked. Whatever the reason for that response time, the result has been a drawn-out and frustrating process. To be fair, Eufy has now supplied another prepaid return label and offered a further repair attempt. However, at the time of writing, I still have an unusable robot and no clear resolution. They have also not explicitly confirmed full mopping tests or that it will be returned properly cleaned. The product itself impressed me. The repair experience has been deeply disappointing. For a premium vacuum and mop, dependable after-sales support matters just as much as its performance when new. I will update this review if Eufy resolves the matter and returns a complete, clean, working machine. The attached video shows the robot before I sent it to Anker/Eufy: still moving, but struggling to dock—the original fault. The photo shows the condition in which it was returned to me: dismantled, dirty and with parts and screws missing. What was previously a usable vacuum and mop is now completely unusable.

Buy the Eufy S1 Pro !!
LOVE this Product ! Our first hoover arrived faulty and constantly spat errors out at us however Eufy support did arrange a FOC replacement for us. Despite multiple frustrating shipping delays we finally received it and so far, we are thrilled ! It deep cleans with the roller mop which is why we picked it. It pretty much looks after itself with just the occasional bit of maintenance from yourself. You can select it to clean by room or zone which is ideal if there is just a patch of mess. It's noisy but it's doing a job (just don't put the base near where you sleep as it will probably wake you up!) Definitely Recommend

One of my best friends! Welcome, Tranz
does everything it said in the ad, great value for price i paid, a brilliant lightweight and intelligent cleaner for short pile carpets and hard floors, great for getting rid of lightweight fluff, pet hair and dust. Be WARNED: (commonsense really): keep any tasselled rug edges out the way, and shoelaces. It isn't keen on eating dead flies, unfortunately - neither am i! The Dyson will sort that out. I don't run it unsupervised, coz it WILL negotiate shallow carpet bars and go hide where you maybe haven't planned. The old cat doesn't mind it either, it's quite a pleasant humming noise. Like that is tells you what it's doing. Mine has a name, "Tranz" coz it's tranzformed my cleaning. Strongly recommend.

Perfect for houses of 100sqm
The best robot in the market! Anker has a great after sales support in the UAE. Some dripping of water after months of use, but with proper cleaning and frequent replacement of the mop roll won’t happen.

The X8 Pro delivers on core promises
Navigation & Obstacle Handling The X8 Pro excels in SLAM-based navigation, seamlessly mapping my home’s narrow hallways and smaller rooms. Unlike some competitors, it rarely gets stuck—only minor blockages occurred with socks, a curtain, and a thin doormat. Its obstacle-avoidance algorithm is robust, though not infallible. Hair Detangling & Maintenance The brushless roller design and hair-detangling mechanism are effective, as pet hair rarely clogs the brush. However, the self-emptying system has a critical limitation: fine cat hair and dust frequently remain in the dustbin due to the dense plastic mesh and HEPA filter setup. The station’s suction is insufficient to clear debris stuck to the mesh, even in Pet Mode (15-minute auto-return cycles). In practice, this means manual intervention is required after every cleaning session—emptying the dustbin and cleaning the mesh to maintain performance. While the vacuum leaves floors clean, the lack of true "hands-free" operation is a notable drawback for busy households. Suction & Cleaning Performance Suction power is strong and consistent, leaving floors visibly clean. The multi-surface adaptability (hardwood, carpet) is reliable, though edge-cleaning could be more aggressive. App & Connectivity The eufyClean app is functional but lacks sophistication. Basic controls work, but multi-user sharing is cumbersome: users must be registered in the same region/server, or access fails.
