I have been in the biotech field for over 30 yrs and am impressed with the build quality/value and thermal stability of this dry heater. It works exactly as advertized. I purchased it with the 6 x 5ml (14mm dia) block. I would only say that a more detailed description of programming, dry block care and replacement, and calibration would be helpful. I checked at their website for a more detailed manual, but none are listed there. The unit is supplied with a very basic 4 page User Manual, more like only a quick start guide. But overall, a very nice dry block heater.

The cheapest equipment you can buy that costs a lot of money!!!!! Doesn’t do what it’s intended to do, not enough power to heat, not enough buttons to even set it for right amount of time or desired temperature, people don’t waste your money

I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of this gel heating machine, despite its small size. I purchased the heating block separately and used it to heat ink samples to the appropriate temperature for dissolving polymer. While it may not be intended for biological applications, it was highly effective for my needs. The machine heated up quickly, taking only about three minutes after plugging it in and running self-calibration tests. It maintained the temperature for a remarkable seven hours without any issues. I believe it operates using a Peltier junction, although I didn't have the opportunity to test the cooling section due to the temperature of the room. Considering that most people would likely be using this PRP/PPP gel heating machine to heat their samples, it performed admirably. The power supply included with the machine was of high quality, the LCD display is exceptionally bright, and the overall construction and finishing exceeded my expectations, especially considering its affordable price compared to name-brand options. The packaging of the product was also worth mentioning. It was extremely well-packed, giving me confidence in the quality of the item. I believe it could withstand being dropped from a two-story window without sustaining any damage. The only downside I found was the lack of thermal grease on the bottom, unlike some other machines I've come across. However, this was a minor issue and did not impact its performance. The buttons on the machine are responsive, and I have been using it without any problems for about a month now. All in all, I would highly recommend this product and give it a full five-star rating, especially when considering the discounted price.

I had a really hard time figuring out how to program this device. Once I got the program and it worked fine, and I like it. It is just not easy to use at first.
