SINGER Stitch Quick+ Portable Cordless Mending Machine with Sewing Kit & Storage Bag

This is a great mini sewing machine, it has the bottom thread so it actually sews!! unlike the smaller hand held junk. Amazing for small jobs instead of lugging out the big Bertha singer I have in the back room also came with a bunch of additional bobbins and different coloured threads with additional needles very convenient all in all!

The Singer Quick Stich Plus came threaded with "white thread" and worked right out of the box, But I wanted black thread, so I unthreaded it and re-threaded it with black, no issues with threading. The small sewing kit that comes with it has plastic bobbins, and this machine only uses metal bobbins, so I placed the plastic ones into my hand sewing box. I recently purchased a Brothers machine for 95.00, one of their budget friendly models, and it absolutely would not sew my 90% Polyester / 10% Elastane material. The Singer Quick Stitch Plus sewn it without any problems. I found the Quick stitch seemed to put too much tension on the thread, was tight to pull on it, but sewn just fine. I know this machine is not designed as a replacement for a larger desktop machine, but this will be very handy to "tack" material in place for the large machine to do the permanent stitch. I haven't tried it for a permanent stitch, but it likely could if I properly anchored the stitch ends. This machine does not have reverse to anchor the thread, it could be done by spinning the material and a few stitches in opposite direction, but I found the stitches didn't easily pull out, so somewhat anchored, at least enough to tack the material where I want it. I do not care about the negative reviews, I tested this machine myself, and was very impressed, I would definitely recommend this machine.

Tried the sewing machine twice but then battery overheated and now it doesn’t work and can’t complete what I need to do. This product is more of a toy than a durable machine. Better off sticking to a traditional sewing machine and not waste your money. Save yourself time and effort. Sadly disappointed and I normally don’t write reviews with low ratings.
