Never once have I had an issue regarding the them breaking down. Once I put too much frozen fruit in it and it stopped, once i unplugged the motor, removed some frozen fruit, I plugged it in, added some milk to the frozen fruit and it worked just fine. Never overfill these machine with too much ice, and remember, you push down on the motor, let up and repeat it that way for about 10 times and then hold it down to do the work. I don't get all the negative reviews, but remember folks, it's a 400 watt motor, not the high end Ninja blender. **Q: I need to make puppy food slush from soaked dry food .
