This is the one I used in the chippy more than 40 years ago - delighted to find it here. Shocked it has gone up £15 since I bought it! **Q: Is this the same as Irish curry sauce sold in chippys** A: I believe the Irish Curry Sauce is smooth, with no bits. This one has raising, apple and pineapple in it, and is absolutely delicious. Bit shocked to see it's gone up a tenner since I bought my tub though! **Q: Can someone please advise an indicative 'use by' date, so I can understand how long a tub will last/ needs to be used by?** A: depends how much you use as to how long it lasts but as for use by date ignore as it is only for a guide I have had mine for 9 months and still going strong no problem **Q: Do you make this like instant gravy?** A: Sort of, it tub gives you directions for 1 litre using 60 grams of powder, I just make 1/4 of a litre so this tub is going to last me a long time, hehe. Basically I mix 15 grams of gravy powder with 1/4 litre of water them put the mix in a pan and bring to boil whilst stirring continuously to avoid lumps forming.
