The reason I picked this one is being able to keep the factory switch Others I looked at had reviews that said both sides of motor are grounded when not active so the factory switch would have caused it to short out, this one is too but it has a place to hook switch to the unit itself and it scratches activates the relays. On the remote the buttons are a little easy to press, I pressed then several times while remote was in pocket so I took it apart and put some heat shrink wrap around the entire button on circuit board but didn't shrink it down and just kept trimming it down until I got the right feel, now the buttons have the perfect resistance. Instructions say 5 amps recommended. Not sure what awesome awning is but it's fused for way more than 5 amps.
