I was so disappointed by "Modern Painters" December 2014 edition.  Out of the "24 Artists to Watch," in the cover article, only seven of the artists were practicing painters.  Why does this magazine call itself "Modern Painters," while consistently focusing on performance, installation, film, photography, and textile artists?This magazine lacks focus.  In an attempt to cover stories on a broad range of artistic practices around the world, it fails to provide sufficient information about PAINTING.As a painter, I am looking for a magazine that covers current trends and practices in painting.  I want a magazine that explores questions such as: What is Peter Doig working on in 2015?  How have the Neo-Impressionists affected our understanding of color?  How is Gerhard Richter challenging himself?

Hmm, where to begin. I did like the magazine a lot 5 years ago, now it seems filled with more non painters. Kind of repetative, would be better only 4 times/ year. There's someting missing lately.. good art? I noticed when I looked at a issue in the beginning of the year and one at the end, it's kind of similar.
