A: Not tropical.

**Q: Will these eat the flies ?**
A: No they don't eat flys but they do eat all the animal waste and rotting vegetation reducing the amount of flys

**Q: Is this species herbivorous or carnivorous?**
A: use mushrooms to feed

**Q: Can it kill them if you shake the container each time to evenly disperse them before applying? Many thanks**

These little creatures are remarkable.Simply put a small spoonful in your enclosure and that's it, they do all the rest, easy!They eat any leftover pieces of feeders, poops, detritus etc and help prevent mould forming.A good sized container contains many healthy little springtsils that just want to do their job well.This pack is probably enough to put them in 15 mid size containers. Great value.
