I would expect, or at least hope, that any personnel working anywhere near an MRI would have at least the very basic understanding that the presence of metal is only of concern while a scan is being performed. It would also be entirely improper for “housecleaning” to be conducted at the same time a scan is occurring, not only for the safety of the patient, but also for any person who might be doing the cleaning.
