UPDATE: it burnt out :( - WOW! Strong enough for my Pond light.
UPDATE: After a year it burnt out and does not work anymore. I am very disappointed :( and I don't think it can be fixed since the led is not replaceable. WOW! Strong enough for my Pond light. I LOVE IT! I have been searching for a light for along time to light up my above ground patio pond. I am very pleased with it. I actually used a black Iron goose neck Stake that’s used to hang plants outdoors for it. The light comes with some extra attachments. I used the ring attachment on the top and slid a zip tie through it to make another ring then attached it to the goose neck stake so it hangs over the pond nicely. The light has been working great. The fan is very quiet and the light is very bright. lights up my whole pond. It doesn’t reach full light to the ends of the pond but that’s expected and I could get another one to have one on each side but for now this is working great and actually is plenty for a pond. If I wanted to light up like an aquiruem where the whole thing is completely lit I would just get another one. My Pond is 60 In. x 55 In. x 18 In. so you can imagine how bright this light is and it gets all the way to the bottom super bright. Now for the 4 stars.. I am not happy that the directions show it has a dimmable knob on top put the unit does not come with one. What’s up with that? Also their website shows it with a dimmable knob. Why did they take the knob off? or are these on Amazon rejects with a mistake (without knob) that the company is trying to get rid of? or are these the old style and the new style has the knobs? Someone should call the company and find out what’s up with that. Leave a comment if you know. Hope this helps

SHIMMER! So pleased with this light!
I was setting up a lucky bamboo (pictured before I have put the rest of the plants in) and I wanted a kessil-style spotlight that would give me cool shadows and shimmer and that I could mount high above the water. The problem is that I don't have a Kessil budget! I stumbled upon these and am thrilled with the value. These put out some serious light. I don't have a PAR meter, but they are at about 75% in my pictures and video and they are significantly brighter than then LED bar I use on my other tank. I bought 2 for this 40G Breeder, but probably could have gotten away with one. They have a fan, but it is super quiet and unnoticeable. You can adjust the brightness but not the spectrum. However the light is toned well for a planted tank. The goosenecks were good quality and easy to set up. It also comes with a wire mount to hang it from the ceiling. In short: great looking, solid metal parts, BRIGHT, and oooh that shimmer! Very pleased with this purchase.

Note - product is NOT what is on picture
Update - My lamp died today. It lasted about 6 months. It did a good job, but I would have expected it to last longer. I'm going back and forth on buying this again. I'll have to think about it. The 80w Freshwater F-120 lamp did not come with a remote control as described in the ad, and the controller was a spin dial which was weird. You just turn it up to the brightest. It was REALLY bright. You turn it the opposite way to turn it off. I really was expecting a portable remote to turn it off from a distance like my other smaller one, but this doesn't have it which was disappointing. I also noticed that the cord is just different. It's one piece so there's no way to connect that wifi cord they show. The cord just has the spin dial and is about 60" long. You can't modify it, but maybe they are selling the remote, and the other type of cord separately? You'd have to contact them. Also, I noticed it does still come with the cord to hang it from a bracket although it comes with a flexible bracket [it's firm]. The long bracket screws into the lamp and into the wall clamp. The bar gets screwed into the bracket and it has two plastic screws to tighten them down. I put the screws on the inside and it's firm [was paranoid as it's a heavy lamp] and definitely holding nice and tight so I have no fear of it moving at all. I put a picture of the lamp [you'll see a flat one that I plan to remove soon as it's having issues and the smaller one is the one they sell on Amazon but I needed a stronger light to help my plants grow. I just redid my entire plant system so that's why they are short so we'll see how they do with this new lamp. I just wanted to warn people that the cord going into the lamp is NOT the one they are showing that you can add a wifi cord to and it's not got a remote control. It's a spin dial which I was not expecting. But, it does do the job and is pretty darn affordable compared to others and it's super bright. It's hot, but not as hot as they were saying in some of the reviews. I wrote them to ask about the remote and cord so we'll see what happens. It's just not the same as what they show in the ad.

Warranty though Lominie?
Bought in March died in December. Emailed Lominie as the the customer service number is an international number (+86 = China)and have not heard back. Light no longer working after 6months
The light was great in the beginning. I received it in March 2022. I use it to illuminate my 30 gallon freshwater fish tank. I have it on for no more than 8-10 hours a day. It's now late September 2022 and my light went out. I unplugged it and tried plugging it back it and nothing. I tested the outlet and there is nothing wrong with the outlet. Definitely has power. I don't know what happened. I guess I'll have to take the casing off and investigate. But I'm disappointed after 6months of use and it isn't working anymore. Very frustrating!!!

Cheap led light
I purchased two Asta 120 freshwater lights for my 70 gallon planted tank. I've had them running for about 6 to 7 hours a day for the last 2 months. Overall I've been pretty happy with them up until the last week or so, but I will get into that later. The lights came nicely packaged and with all necessary Parts included. The light attached to the gooseneck properly and look excellent on my rimless tank. I will say that the power cords are a little short and do not allow the cord to make a drip Loop. The gooseneck starts quite strong and allow for multiple positioning of the lights and they've been holding up quite well to the weight of the actual light itself. The lights are fan-cooled which does contribute some noise while they are running but they are not too loud. I do recommend ordering some black zip ties to fasten the cord to the gooseneck do you clean up the profile. Like I stated earlier I've been pretty happy with the light overall, that is up until the last week or so. I have noticed that the lights have began to dim. Essentially the LED quality seems to be poor. Once I knew Shelly set up a light they were extremely bright and Powerful however as time went on they have dimmed considerably. I will be surprised if they do last the year. Overall, I I think the light is a good budget purpose light that can be used for planted aquariums. I cannot say if the LED quality will last and maintain its initial brightness, however I've seen some pretty mixed reviews. In the end I would give this light both a thumbs up and a thumbs down, thus providing a mixed review. The build quality and the components look great, but overall perfomace of the light is poor. I will submit another review in six months time to provide another update. If the manufacturer would like to reach out to me and have me trial another light I would be happy to do so. If you would like to look at other pictures of my tank please refer to my Instagram account which is @floridafishkeeper Thanks

Love, love, love these lights!
These lights are fantastic! Quality is great and the fan is quiet enough to run in a bedroom. The shimmer effect these lights give off is just gorgeous, pictures don’t do it justice. And the color spectrum is great for viewing- natural looking light without the bluish tinge you get from a lot of LEDs. My plants love it just as much as I do and I am having insane growth in my low-tech dirted tank. I love it so much, I just ordered another one! The freshwater Asta 120 does not come with a dimmer or a remote, which isn’t that big a deal. My lights run on timers anyways, and if I want to adjust the intensity of the light, I just raise or lower the light a bit. The gooseneck provided with it is sturdy and holds its shape very well. No drooping or constant adjustments needed here :) The picture I included is of my 40 breeder planted tank. If you’ll notice one end of the tank is a little dark, by design. I have my low light anubias and java fern growing in that corner. The company is pretty accurate when they say the light covers an approximate 24” x 24” cube. If I was going high light with CO2, I’d be tempted to run two of these lights on a 40B with a 36” length.
