VIVOSUN 1-Pack Seed Starter Kit, 40-Cell Tray, LED Lights and Heat Mat

Impressive starter kit. Fit and finish are very good. The price is competitive with other brands, however the durability is questionable. The plastics are on the thin side. However, sturdy because it is square shape. The longevity depends on how one respects their belongings. All settings and accessories function per the description. The heating mat temperature and the thermostat control are relatively accurate (+/- 1° f). The built in timer is optional to use and changes colors depending on the schedule (Off, 8/16, 12/12, 18/6). The selector switch provides feedback with a solid feel and loud click sound so you definitely know you pressed the selector button. So does the entire household. The light intensity settings and timer settings have memory as long as it is connected to a power source. Unplug the power cord and all settings are lost. An external timer is a no go. A power outage will definitely be inconvenient. The light panels lay nicely snug in their designated position. Nothing to secure them in place. Use slight care when removing the lid. Perhaps secure the light panels with painters tape (less adhesive) for easy removal. Test time… The readings will fluctuate by a couple numbers depending on the ambient lighting. I tested the lights in a well lit living room; artificial lighting/natural ambient lighting from windows. I tested the PPFD (umol/m2/s) and DLI with the Photone Pro app with their optional (recommended) diffuser. The phone with diffuser was then placed on top of the seed tray. Sprout level. PAR setting is on Full Spectrum lighting. READINGS: Light intensity = PPFD / DLI (18 hours of light). Intensity 25% = 46 PPFD / DLI = 2.99 Intensity 50% = 87 PPFD / DLI = 5.74 Intensity 75% = 129 PPFD / DLI = 8.48 Intensity 100% = 168 PPFD / DLI = 11.0 *PAR (Photosynthetic Active Radiation) *PPFD (Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density) *DLI (Daily Light Integral) In conclusion, Thumbs up!

I picked this up to start seeds, and it works perfectly. The cells are a good size for seedlings, and the tray is easy to use for getting everything started. It holds soil well and makes it simple to keep things organized. The heat mat and lights are great additions too. Just be aware that the lights do run hot.

Great way to start seeds! I love this seed starter, it function well and the build quality is great. The heating mat doesn't work as well as my Vivosun heating without the thermostat but it is what it is. The design is good except for no real way to secure the lights from moving around other than that I love this thing. Definitely a good buy, could be a bit cheaper.

Good for the initial germination of seeds with the dome and lights. However they will very quickly outgrow this and I found that I had to immediately use an alternate grow light and remove the dome after a very short period of time because the seedlings were stretching towards the light and getting too humid. I do like the bottom watering function with this tray, however it’s not perfect. It gets the job done initially and it’s nice for everything to come in one pack.

Not working heating pad

Best seed starting try I’ve ever used! I’ve been getting into growing my own fruit and veggies for a while now. I’ve used pretty much every seed starting tray available at most local store, but this has out performed them all. It’s definitely more durable than the thinner trays. I can’t forget to mention the value for your money with the included grow lights!

I've used this seed starter kit for 2 seasons now and I'm overall pretty impressed with it. The cells are quite small so up potting comes pretty quickly after the seeds sprout but that's standard. My only complaint is that the thermostat for the heating mat is inside the mat and not an external sensor that I can put in an empty cell with soil in it. That's on me though and is no fault of this kit.

Wüstenrosen brauchen bekanntlich viel Wärme und ausreichend Licht zum Keimen – und genau das liefert dieses Set in Perfektion. Meine Keimlinge gedeihen darin aktuell absolut prächtig. Rekordverdächtige Keimung: Dank der 25x52 cm großen Heizmatte, die für eine wunderbar konstante und gleichmäßige Bodentemperatur sorgt, sind meine Wüstenrosen-Samen schon nach wenigen Tagen gekeimt. Das hat meine Erwartungen komplett übertroffen. Perfekte LED-Steuerung: Die Dimmfunktion der integrierten LED-Lichtleisten ist genial, um die Lichtintensität genau an die Bedürfnisse der jungen Keimlinge anzupassen. Die eingebaute Zeitschaltuhr (Timer) nimmt einem zudem die tägliche Arbeit ab – das Licht schaltet sich vollautomatisch ein und aus. Die Sämlinge spargeln überhaupt nicht, sondern wachsen kräftig, kompakt und gesund. Durchdachtes Mini-Gewächshaus: Das 40-Zellen-Tablett bietet reichlich Platz. Über die verstellbaren Lüftungsschlitze an der Haube lässt sich die Luftfeuchtigkeit exakt regulieren. Auch die Abflusslöcher im Boden verhindern zuverlässig gefährliche Staunässe, was bei Wüstenrosen-Wurzeln ja extrem wichtig ist. Kinderleichte Handhabung: Auspacken, Erde und Samen rein, einstecken – fertig. Alles passt perfekt ineinander und wirkt stabil genug für viele weitere Anzuchten in den nächsten Jahren. Für anspruchsvolle Pflanzenprojekte wie Kakteen, Sukkulenten oder eben Wüstenrosen ist dieses Set eine absolute 10 von 10. Klare Kaufempfehlung

No sirve la manta térmica, no calienta. No sé puede hacer reemplazo para únicamente el artículo defectuoso, únicamente es devolución, si yo devolvía perdía las semillas sembradas. No hay contacto con el vendedor

Seems to be a great set up. Just started using it. 3 light settings for duration on/off. Heat pad setting is easy to use, using 75f now. Grow light has 4 brightness settings. Think this will be a great starter set. I would recommend it.
