Good tap wrench
Good value for money. Works well. Packaged well delivered well. Well made. I am a skilled electrical mechanical engineer by profession and was an on screen expert for BBC Watchdog and Rogue Traders for some years and subsequently sworn to honesty. I tend to research a product drilling down into the quality and value of the item before I buy. I am not paid for my reviews and have no personal gain from them. I have no difficulty recommending this item. What's not to like. Go buy!

It works. Good product
Bought this to use it on a 50mm waste basin sprung nut. It works. The only downside is that the plastic nut is bigger. You have to file the nut a little bit. 5 extra minutes of work. I used a small file. After that to tighten it was easy. Used only my hands

Very efficient tool.
If you have awkward access under your basin and the metal back nut is well corroded/stuck then this tool is great! Just provide your own tommy bar and it will loosen the nut with a bit of torque easily. Each end has a slightly different size to fit most metal back nuts.

Check the size before ordering
It's a box spanner. What can I say? You need your own bar or screwdriver to turn it. Actually, this is too big for what I wanted but I'm keeping it as it might be useful in the future.

Good idea but needs adapting
Haven’t used it yet. Am a plumber. Won’t fit over the plastic backnuts easily. Have had to take a file to the inside to get it just to fit. Idea is good

Great for brass sink waste but heavy using with one hand
Allowed me to complete the fixing of a bathroom sink waste after using traditional mole grips failed to grip. This device let me get loads of hand-tourque on the brass nut in a confined space. Just quite heavy when holding the drain in position at the top and stopping it spinning with one hand, whilst using the other hand to turn the device.

Useful specialist tool
This is an essential tool for anyone wanting to install/remove a standard UK bathroom basin wastes. This box spanner is very well made from thick robust metal and is double ended for two different sized hex nuts: 46mm and 50mm (inner diameters). The total length is 200mm. There are also 4 holes for a tommy bar (not included) for extra leverage but I found tightening by hand was good enough. The tool is reassuringly heavy. The waste backnut on my basin is 1-1/4in BSP (46mm), which is quite common for bathrooms, and this spanner fitted quite well although there was a little bit of play. Please note this spanner will only fit brass or metal nuts. The cheap plastic nuts that come with most wastes will not fit. Overall this is quite a specialised tool for a very specific job, but worth it to avoid scraping your hands in the tight spaces under the sink. This is a great quality tool from Monument. Recommended.
