...provided you buy it here at Amazon. I'm not sure I'd feel that way if I paid what they charge in the stores, but I didn't. I paid half as much here at Amazon. I've had this case for some time now and can attest to a number of facts: 1. The protection this case provides for drops is top notch. This is the case I use in situations that there's a higher than average possibility of a fall - going out, hiking, traveling - and it has held up to a number of drops from as high as my ear (I'm 5'10"). The pavement and rocks have taken a couple chunks out of the plastic on the corners, but at least it was the plastic on this case instead of the fragile aluminum body of the iPhone - the iPhone looks as good as new, as well! 2. I'm a frequent case switcher. The rubber has not stretched, the case has not cracked, I have had ZERO issues with any wear from taking it off/putting it on the iPhone. It's a tight fit but once you get the method down, taking it off and putting it on is a breeze. 3. The buttons have an awesome feel to them. Accessibility to the camera and other ports is top notch. The earphone hole is plenty big for both the Apple earpods and my Sennheiser headphones. Did I mention how great the buttons feel? Also, the edges wrap around so they do protect the screen (you can lay it on a table upside down, or slide it across the street, and the screen doesn't touch). 4. The only negative I can find is that the glossy plastic finish scratches, and very easily at that. But then if you're buying a case to keep pristine, then I don't know what to tell you. They really don't bother me, but I felt it needed mentioning. Overall, I'm very happy with this case. Tonight, while running across the parking lot on a cold (9 below zero) Minnesota night, the thing flew out of my pocket and went bouncing and sliding across the parking lot. I cringed because it seemed slightly more violent than most drops. I picked it up, dusted it off, and was on my way. Now that I'm home I've inspected the phone, and it's as good as new. Yet another incident that made me ignore the scratching and give it a 5-star rating. If you're concerned with scratches on your phone, but this case. If you're concerned with scratches on the case, move along.

I love speck products, and the CandyShell Glossy Case for iPhone 5 is an excellent example of why. First off, I love the colors, and the different color combinations available. But on to more important things... One of the great things about the iPhone 5 is that it is slimmer than its predecessors, and I would hate to lose that slimness because of a big bulky case. The speck case adds a layer of excellent protection without adding too much size to the phone. One of my favorite things is that the speck case has a hard layer outside, and a softer, gel-like layer on the inside. It gives it an good amount of protection without adding the amount of bulk that many other cases do. The one gripe I used to have about speck cases has actually been fixed on the iPhone 5 case. The previous models just had rubber around the charger, which made those areas less durable and prone to breaking. Because the design of the charger has changed, so has the case, problem solved! My only issue (and this is probably actually a good thing) is that the rubbery layer picked up some lint the one time I put it in my jeans pocket. It got blue fuzzies all over it. This was a good reminder to not keep my phone in my pants pocket! But a heads up if you do carry your phone in a pocket, it might get linty. Granted I have had speck cases before this one that haven't had that issue... who knows, maybe it was a new jeans problem and not the case! I recommend this to anyone who wants a nice looking, durable case that offers protection without adding too much bulk. I love mine, and I would recommend it (or most speck products in general) to anyone!

I love these cases, they are light, form-fitting and they are good all-round protection for your 5. I always buy more than one to switch out if I get bored. The ones I had for my 4 were so good i bought the same (similar, the plastic shell on this one is shinier and slightly less opaque). Love how the corners are rubber to allow the case to flex but still maintain integrity (read: less cracking under stress) when dropped. Pros: - Cheap. Enough to replace ot buy more than one at a time (this is just good practice anyway.) - Tough. I'm consistently tough on HW, this is my go to case because it's well designed in my opinion. - CUTE! (sorry, I'm still female) It's shiney. This one is pink. I like pink. Cons: - if the interior rubber is any color other than black, then the edges tend to peel off quicker than the black. This is not a deal breaker, just make sure you have a screen protector. - Probably not for you if you like sliding your phone into a pants pocket. - There are consistent failure points where the hardshell plastic is narrow. BUT again not a deal breaker as the rest of the case is strong enough to compensate and still protect from drops. - I've only had it on for a month but I assume this one will scratch. Not a big deal to me because I'm more for the functionality (even though I like the shiney and pink.)

I recently bought a brand new iPhone 5S to upgrade from my 4S. I tend to be clumsy so I buy cases less with looks and more with strength in mind. But "pretty" does play into it a bit...we're not talking basic black here. For my last two phones I swore by Otterboxes - they were the only thing I would trust with my phone after I dropped it down a marble staircase and found it untouched at the bottom. But I've been getting tired of the stretching of the rubber on the Otterbox defender and the screen cover that dimmed the screen quality. It's clear the 5S has a MUCH better screen than my 4S and I didn't want to dull that down with a case. I'm picky when it comes to reading case reviews and didn't like the fact that dirt and dust could get behind the screen on the Otterbox with the home button cutout for the fingerprint scanner on the 5S. So I took a risk and went a different route this time. I purchased a Speck CandyShell Case and a Tech Armor HD screen protector for the new phone. I love them both. The screen protector was so easy to put on - and it came with a cloth that let me wipe all the dust/fingerprints off of the screen before applying the protector. I've had it on for two weeks - normally my screen covers are quick to scratch since I keep my phone in my purse with loose bobby pins, earrings and various other rough surfaces. So far - so good. No problems whatsoever. And I can't see any difference in screen quality with this cover - it's like it's not even there. The Speck case has a much lower profile than my Otterbox - it doesn't add noticeable bulk to the phone. I've dropped it (off of my desk at work on to industrial carpet) with no issues. I'm not going to test this thing on concrete any time soon, but I feel like it offers a reasonable amount of protection with a low profile...and I love the color - mine is a bright purple and teal. Why did I give both of these products 4 stars instead of 5? The screen protector does show fingerprints. The quality is leagues above the 'oil slick look' I used to get with my Otterbox - but it is easy to smudge. The bright side is that it's also easy to wipe off. The case itself is easy to scratch. While my screen protector still looks the same as it did the day I put it on, the smooth back of my case shows some small scratches and scuffs - and it has the same fingerprint problem. Overall I would recommend both products to my friends looking for something like what I have.

I bought another case before so that it can protect the iPhone on day one but found it a bit too snug and lacks protection on the top/bottom and the front parts. I saw this on Amazon and thought to myself that this might be a good case for my upcoming purchase. I saw this particular case in person as I was picking up the phone at the AT&T store after I already placed the order. I wanted to cancel my Amazon order because the color is more of a gray than white. I thought it would distract with the simplicity and beauty of the iPhone 5. Unfortunately, the order was being prepared for shipment and I couldn't cancel my order. I figured, $13 is not a big of a deal if it didn't work. It will be a transitional case if it doesn't feel and look right. When the package arrived, I was excited to see how this case would look with the phone in it, so I immediately put it on. It is such a beautiful duo! A white iPhone 5 and this case is a beautiful combination. The grayish tint is barely noticeable when paired with the phone. It adds just the right amount of heft to those of you that feel the iPhone 5 is too light, like me. The pop of color is just right. It provides the protection I wanted. Now all sides are covered and there is enough of a "lip" on the front that the screen won't be the first one to hit the ground. Overall, this is a wonderful case to have. For $13, your iPhone 5 will thank you for being protected and it will not distract from the thinness of the phone.

I'll be honest, I wasn't sure it could hold up to a drop. Everyone warned me about using a case that wasn't an Otterbox or similar level of protection. But I didn't want the bulk, and I finally went with the Speck Candyshell. I love it. I didn't think it would be able to protect my phone if I dropped it, but I've dropped it numerous times on concrete, in the driveway getting in/out of my vehicle, etc. and it has really held up nicely! Yeah the case is a little scratched, and after 3-4 months of heavy use, I can honestly say this case offers a great level of protection of the iPhone 5. There are no bumps or scratches on the phone itself. I took the phone out to inspect the back, and it's still like a brand new iPhone 5. I use this black and dark grey Speck Candyshell with a Spigen SPG Ultra Oleophobic screen protector (the screen protector can be a pain to put on, but it's really a great quality screen protector. I had to buy a second set just to get one on correctly [took me 4 tries and I'm usually really good about putting them on with little error], but it was worth it and I have no complaints). If you're looking for great protection, get the Candyshell. Yes, there will be scratches on your case, it's PLASTIC after all. But it does give your phone a good amount of protection. Definitely get a screen protector, too. I'm sure my screen would be all scratched up if I hadn't gotten the Spigen SPG screen protector.

I bought the raspberry-gray combo for my white iPhone 5: it looks great and I can see it in the depths of a purse, many of which have black sink hole interiors. I must have hit a good day to buy because mine was considerably less than the $30 price now. Comparing it to my husband's Otterbox, the CandyShell is thinner, finer, and the edges never interfere with the keypad. I do not require the protection he does. My phone is always secure in a pocket or purse and this case is great. One slight quibble: the back has some hairline scratches by now, not unusual for the use it gets. I applied a Tech Armor iPhone 5 Premium High Definition (HD) Clear Screen Protector and it fit under the lip of the case nicely. I would recommend both products. --9 MONTHs LATER: The rubber rim around the screen began to crumble away after a phone store associate removed the case from the phone. This product should be more durable. No matter what sort of mystique the manufacturer tries to give it, it's all plastic. It should cost less at the outset and last longer. I'll be trying something different.

When I bought my iPhone 6s Plus, I invested a great deal of research into finding the best case to protect it and discovered this one to be highly recommended by tech experts. It's the only case I've used for the last 18 months and I'm still believe it's the best. The minimalist design offers a great deal of protection and function without detracting from the iPhone's aesthetics. The material stays relatively clear and doesn't yellow with age. It works well with the tempered glass screen protector I purchased directly from Apple and keeps the overall dimensions thin enough to fit into my Coach wallet. It also allows the iPhone to fit with every charging device I've used. I found that the case needs to be replaced about once a year. I have purchased a total of 5 now, including replacements and others for my family members. When I remove the case, my phone looks almost brand new. There's the evidence that this works.

Premetto che il mio pollice opponibile ha problemi con i cellulari, per quanto mi impegni, mi cade per terra più volte di quante vorrei. A volte fa dei voli a parabola che neanche io so spiegarmi. Con questa custodia il telefono è sempre salvo. Cade di lato, di punta, sul fronte.. non gli capita nulla. Avevo una CandyShell su i-phone 4 e dopo tre anni di cadute ero riuscita a crepare la custodia, ma il telefono era nuovo; ho dovuto rottamarlo perché il software mi aveva abbandonata. Ho fatto fatica a trovarla per i-phone 5, che sta già diventando obsoleto, ma se anche voi siete un po' pasticcioni ogni centesimo speso per questa custodia vi darà grandi soddisfazioni.

Me gusta mucho la marca Speck porque en verdad ofrece lo que promueve. Sus fundas son súper resistentes y además durables (ya tenía un par de años con la anterior) Llevo ya 1 mes con esta funda transparente y me encanta, aunque empiezo a ver que lo más probable es que la parte interior que es de material flexible tipo silicon se puede poner amarilla con el uso.
