## Description

From the manufacturer SONAX PROFILINE Cut & Finish Single-stage, highly abrasive polish for quickly removing defects such as nibs, spray paint mist and sanding marks after refinishing. High abrasion with high degree of gloss, can be applied for a long time with excellent wipe-off behaviour. Ideal for polishing sanded areas. Removes sanding marks of P1500 sand paper. Silicone free and low dusting. Cut: 5 Degree of gloss: 5 Directions for use If necessary, sand the paintwork beforehand with a P1500 grit (or finer). Use a variable-speed rotary polisher with Foam Pad hard (04931000) or Foam pad medium (04930000). Machines can be tilted slightly at the beginning. Then, keep the pad flat and carry out several short polishing cycles, especially on fresh paintwork. Wipe off polish residue with a SONAX Microfibre Cloth soft touch (04510000). Optionally and depending on the colour shade, polish to a perfect high gloss with SONAX PROFILINE Perfect Finish (02243000). Can be used with an orbital polishing machine if the scratch condition permits this or if sanding marks are P2000 or finer. Regularly clean polishing pads. Never use different polishes on one pad. Review: Great results from one pass - Excellent product. I had a heavily swirled black vw golf. One pass using a DA and this product gave excellent result and removed 90% of swirl marks (it’s not gong to remove deep scratches). I didn’t have time to do multiple passes so was looking for a product that could do one pass. If you have lots of swirl marks and want quick result (it still took 4-5 hours to do the full car) I would definitely recommend this. This bottle could do 2-3 cars.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Would this be the same as first using rubbing compound, then polishing, and then swirl and scratches remover? all in one ?**
A: That's all-in-one solution to both removing minor scratches and polishing.  However, it is not as aggressive as separate systems.  
That's also waterbased and doesn't stain plastic surfaces.

**Q: IS this. a single step polish or do I need another finishing polish ?**
A: This is a diminishing grit polish. As it is worked (by hand or machine) the particle size gets smaller, and it goes from cutting to polishing the paint, or whatever is being polished. It really depends on what level of gloss you want. This brought my car's paint to a mirror shine, which I finished with a carnauba wax for protection. You can read a dollar bill in the reflection of the paint. I believe Sonax makes even finer polishes for those who desire that. I also inadvertently found out that this will polish dulled plastic headlamps surprisingly well with a random orbit buffer.

A: I usually apply it by hand

A: No.
Sonax Cut & Finish is a polish which focuses on enhancing paint gloss. It can be used as a 1-Step All-In-One Polish.

The Rubbing Compound focuses on removing deeper paint Imperfections and usually requires a 2nd step or polish to enhance paint gloss (after the Rubbing Compound has removed the heavy paint Imperfections and left the paint finish dull).

Used as a 1 step polish on a swirl marked VW golf estate with a Das6 dual action polisher and orange lake country pad. Really pleased with results, very glossy finish, did 4 cross hatch passes then a 5th fast pass. Bad part is u worry u should use more product as the haze goes really thin, so you're unsure whether u need more Apart from that great
