Bought to use as a barnacle scrapper for just below waterline from deck of the boat. Attaches easily to boat pole. Worked as expected and is very durable. Only desire is for it to be a little wider to cover more area with each pass.

I was surprised by the size of this scraper. It's about 6 inches in length. The pictures make it look larger. But I tried it out this weekend and am very happy with it. It screws onto a broomstick handle as long as the stick has the standard threads. The scraper is very capable and made quick work of mussels and barnacles below the water line.

This scraped doesn't harm topside but enables me to clean the boot stripe area between monthly cleanings. A suggestion is slide a kids swim "noodle" around your handle and wen in your dingy or just in the water the noodle pro ides enough flotation to hold it up against the bottom of the boat and you can effectively clean a lot or all of the bottom depending on your hull type.

Work surprisingly well. I fit to the end of a long extendable pole to be able to get the waterline and down maybe another 2 feet while at the dock. Held up very well and small enough to store on boat without taking up space.

Attach this to the end of a threaded boathook. Use a snorkel mask for subsurface visibility and a suction handhold to maintain position. Scrape the hull of any major growth from at least a meter away. You stay out of the cloud, avoid getting critters all over you and get to see fish feeding on the scraped growth. This is an absolute no-brainer must-have. It does a great job on the anchor chain and dinghy also.

Works good with boat in the water

Used this to scrape barnacles off bottom of boat hull. Is stiff enough to allow good pressure removing barnacles without damage to hull. Able to screw in pole to extend reach.
