Is what it claims to be
I purchased this during the pandemic and I couldn't find a pullup bar anywhere. I looked everywhere and no retail stores were carrying pullup bars. I also found that most amazon retailers were out of stock of most everything. So, when I saw this available to jumped on it right away. Didn't really look around too much. The good news is this pull up bar does exactly what you need. Wasn't a big deal to assemble, and fits perfectly into my apartment doorway. It's awesome. So, if you are wondering if this thing is for real, it will do what you need from a pull up bar. No worries. It's worth noting that I talked to someone else who had a pull up bar and the wall above where it fits into, the wall cracked. So far I have no issues. I weigh around 160lbs and the wall seems fine so far. But, you may want to check where you will use this to be sure the wall looks ok. Be sure to figure out what grips you want to use. If you are like me, I can't do too many pull ups right now. But, this bar has many grips you can select. The widest grip, I can barely do 1. but, it seems some youtubers suggest not to use the widest grip as the closer grips are better. Do your own research on this. But, you should have all the ones you need. It has multiple grips that cover all the bases. Very sturdy too. You can also use it as a push up bar and it works fine with that as well. So, unless you have specialized needs this bar should be fine. And it looks cool. Combine it with a dip station (like I did) and you can do pull ups and dips at home!

Great Design!
This review is for the largest pullup bar offered in this listing that comes with bands. I have been using the product for about 2 weeks now and must say I am very satisfied! This is a very well designed piece of equipment that came pre-assembled and ready to use. It takes literally 3-5 seconds to situate in a doorway of your choosing and 2-3 seconds to take down. I really enjoy the feature that allows it to fold flat and hang it in a closet for storage. The process for storing also only takes seconds. The bar itself seems to be of excellent quality and has no trouble supporting me (180 pounds). The ring on the top bar and added rubber bands with handles allows for hugely increased versatility in exercises one can perform with this. I feel this pullup bar is very well designed and thought out. Expert tip: wrap the 4 points where this pullup bar makes contact with your walls and doorframe with rags. This will ensure the paint doesn't scuff with black marks from the wall grips. This is a suggestion for any and all instantly installable / removable pullup bars. I took one rag, cut it in half, then cut 1 inch strips off of each half. I wrapped the 2 smaller contact points with the 1 inch strips and tied them on with twine. I wrapped the two larger contacts with the larger pieces of the rag and tied those on with 2 pieces of string each. It looks good and functions well. Buy this product with confidence!

Great product minus the 'No Damage to wall'.
End of first day an I would say I am overall happy with the purchase. I am 250 lb and performed around 10 pullups over the day finding it very sturdy and reliable. The two bands/straps are basically just bungee cords that I would only truck for some light should stretching (not at all weight bearing as pictured. I am most disappointed when removing it from the doorway and finding small divots and chipped paint where the rear hooks affixed to my frame. It was claimed no damage and the lease I am does not suit it as advertised. I am moving shortly into my first purchased home soon, and will be able to manage on my own, but FYI for all else. Improvements would be to the small bungee cords and material that beats weight. A similar style bar a saw reviewed had clear plastic for the faclce of the doorway instead of black. I found the black rubber imprint on the door, but rubbed away with some water (after only 1 day, unknown multiple use). Caught on sale $40, would recommend with maybe towel or rag buffer to save paint/wall/trim.

Love it, but it will leave marks
It will leave marks. I plan to use some felt stickers to help. I'll see if that stops the problem. I'd have taken a star but they get extra credit for including two tension straps just for the hell of it. I works great, the grips are great. I don't think the foam grips will last forever, but if they did they wouldn't be as comfortable. Thats a trade that can't be avoided. I prefer the better comfort. It really is as easy and fast to put up and take down as they say. Consider which way your door opens. It goes on the other side of the door. I didn't think that through so my bar has to go in the hallway as opposed to being in my room. That sucks a little but no fault of the bar.

Great Home Pull up Bar, not just for building arm muscles.
I recently suffered from Neck and shoulder pain aka pinched nerve. My neck and shoulder felt like it needed to be pulled or stretched. I had nothing in my house to hang from. I did not want to paid membership to the gym i may never get to use. Did not want to see the chiropractor. So I researched a little and decided to try this as it was recommended as one of the methods to relieve my neck and should pain. This pull up bar was what I thought I would need. As soon as this product was delivered to my house, i immediately set it up and slowly starting on my stretching exercise. At the time I got this product it has been almost 3 week since the pain started. Each day once or twice and sometime more as needed I would hang for 30 sec or longer and while doing half twisting motion and also doing pull ups. I do felt some bones correction or cracking each time I stretch. After 1 week my neck and shoulder pain had subsided by 90% and improving, and of course there were other stretching exercises that I've done as well, but this pull up bar was what I needed to complete the healing process. Just my personal anecdotal experience. I left mine setup on one of the doorway in the house for convenient for when I needed it and can easily be tear down and fold it up and stow it away in the closet.

The straight bar with bolts for drywall
There are reviews for three different models here. This straight bar that bolts into drywall is an interesting design. The bolts have special metal sleeves that are anchors. You punch the head end into the drywall, you tighten down the nut on the sleeve which pushes it / splays it open to an anchor, so that you then have the open end of a bolt outward from the wall to hang the apparatus on. I have really soft drywall and I made sure to find beams behind drywall for one end. I used a driver with deck screws and washers for that end. The drywal bolts are just a little bit loose. Then I realize how little depth the bar has from the wall. Oops. Maybe if it’s hung over an open door it might be good. Otherwise I’m sliding along the wall up and down with pull ups.

2x a week, 6 months later and still at it
I’m on my second pass of P90X and the bar is still sturdy and works greats. I’m 6’1”, 175 lbs and the bar and door frame easily support my sets of 16+ pull-ups (not to brag, just to give you an idea) at least twice a week. I would just recommend using the padding they provide for you as not to damage your door frame (it will leave an imprint if you don’t). The bar is easy to take down and store when not in use. I rest it on a shelf in my closet and only bring it out for workouts. And just to speak to their customer service, the bar came with a missing assembly hole but the manufacturer assured me this was rare and promptly sent me another one. And that’s the one I’m writing this review on.

Dangerous-Grip was loose and spun when pulling up-garbage customer service
I bought this for my daughter to do strength training for gymnastics. Once the item arrived it took just a few minutes to put together and was fairly pleased with its sturdiness. The instructions weren't the best but it was still simple enough so that was another point in its favor. I set it up in our doorway and let my daughter have a few cracks at it. After her third pull-up, weighing all of 54 pounds, the right hand grip began to spin almost causing her to fall. Luckily she was able to maintain her grip and brace herself at the drop or she could have fallen, potentially backwards, and cracked her head off the ground. Products can have issues like this, but this could have caused a significant injury, especially if it was someone heavier who would have had to hold up more weight during the drop. The grip wasn't torn, it's just whatever adhesive was used gave out causing the grip to spin. I looked for the customer service contact information and found it on a card inserted in the product. It promised all problems would be resolved immediately. I sent an email explaining the problem with a clear description of the faulty part and waited for a response. Then waited more. And waited more. After a week I decided to write again and saw on the box a different customer service email promising "instant customer service". So I emailed that and the original one from the card figuring I would get a response from someone. So I waited. And waited, and waited another week with no response. That's what brings me here. I am sure that this is a good product for the most part. However, my word of advice is if you are fine with the risk of getting a potentially dangerous piece with no chance of customer service helping you get it fixed, then by all means buy this one. For me, I now have to make a trip to the UPS store to return this and will be ordering a different pul-up bar.

Simple and sturdy
It's just a simple bar which is what I wanted. I like the idea of the attachment point in the middle of the bar to hang my bands from. As with all the other reviews I didn't use the supplied hardware to attach to the wall. Overall simple and achieves what I wanted.

Strong outgasser
It continuously outgassed a toxic rubber smell. Not durable construction.

Functions as a portable bar
Works fine as a portable bar in any standard door frame but if you want to use the mounting bracket for extra stability the screws are too small for the provided anchors. Recommend installing your own anchors
