Roller Derby Boy's Stinger 5.2 Adjustable Inline Skate

We bought these to replace a hand-me-down pair we received that my 7yr old wore out. He has a wider foot and they fit great. He can get them on himself once we got them tightened originally. He finds them comfortable and he skates even better than he did with the old pair. He scrapes them on the pavement a lot with the roller hockey play, so they get scraped up easily, but they are holding up pretty well so far.

I ordered these for my godson's Christmas present and when I visited a few days later, he and his sister were zooming all over the hardwood floors. So let that be a warning to you - only give roller blades in the spring or summer if you want them to be an outdoor activity! I love that they are adjustable for growing feet (and so they can be donated or handed down when they get bored of them). Also, there were no complaints about discomfort or blisters, which is good, but we'll see how it goes when the weather improves. They seem well-constructed and they look cool.

My son bought these after Christmas for himself and has pretty much lived in them since, so long as it hasn't snowed.The adjustable foot is perfect for kids and these will grow with him for at least a year. He is a size 4 foot and says the 4 setting is snug, but 5 is still too loose.Latches are smooth to adjust and they work like normal roller blades.

The R&D design of this inline skate is crazy impressive, but looks like the bean counters of accounting got their hand in the cookie jar.The outstanding:Even the small size comes with adult sized 76mm wheels with a very soft durometer rating. So it rolls cleanly and smoothly over indoor tile lines and outdoor concrete cracks. Skate anywhere.The bearings initially don't appear to free-roll very well, but on the track, they have comparable rolling resistance to a pair of CCM Externo's with Abec 7's three times the price. Your kid won't outgrow these bearings. They're fast.Size adjusts easily and solidly. Not at all flimsy.Vents all over the sides and bottom. Kids don't generally have athletes foot, but they got you covered anyway.It's literally a pro level skate at a third the cost.Has a quick strap.The unfathomable:The quick strap is so cheap it doesn't hold any meaningful amount of tension. It just slips open under tension. You'd be better cutting it off and substituting a motorcycle strap from Walmart. Bam! 6-star skates!The laces also look like an afterthought.

I ordered the Mongoose ones for my 7yo grandson as a Christmas gift but they were too small and had no larger size in stock for my exchange so I returned them. Luckily found these for delivery within a reasonable time frame and I'm glad my 17yo daughter was home when these arrived. I was surprised that these look better than the Mongoose ones and feel like they're better made...not bulky at all. This served wonders for my petite grandson who's never skated, let alone on rollerblades. More surprisingly, he's was rollerblading on his own within 3 hours of them arriving and my 17yo daughter (rollerblading queen, lol) teaching him how. He ate dinner with these things on and after his bath, put them on with his pajamas for an hour more of rollerblading through the foyer before bedtime. Determination and ease of use paid off I must say was worth every dime. Wish I'd purchased these for Christmas so he could've enjoyed them at that time. I guess you live and learn. Now I'll have to see if it'll work out that way to be so easy when I order my pair, lol.

I ordered these for my 7 year old that wore out a pair of cheaper inline skates from a discount store. These skates look nice and feel solid and sturdy. At first they were hard for him to open and close the top clasp but within a day he was doing it completely on his own. He has used these skates at the skate park up and down the ramps and jumping over a bar or two. He also uses them on the sidewalk and road. He has learned to jump objects about two feet high. These skates are holding up really well! They are also very supportive without being uncomfortable.

I've read complaints that putting these on require an adult's help. I disagree. Maybe the first. Couple times until they understand how to do it but my 7 yr old can do it just fine. All that aside. The fact they can be changed for size is great. Construction reminds me of strapping into a snowboard. The comfort level is so so but we skate for an hour so we are using these until he gets good. Then we will but nicer ones. Overall for a beginner. These are perfect.

*I bought these with my own money and am writing this honest review with nothing in return.I was researching all the rollerblades here on Amazon and went with these because it left room to grow into. My child wears a 3.5 child shoe size and I wear adult women’s 6 and we can both fit into them! I’m not planning on wearing them but I just wanted to see if I could fit them as well. For beginner roller blades or for a child who’s prob just going to wear them once in a while for fun. I’d upgrade to better ones if my child got really into rollerblades but these definitely get the job done for a beginner.

Fui a Medrano en GDL, y por los 850 pesos q costaban los patines en una "zona barata" de juguetes no encontre la misma calidad de estos patines. Me parecen que son muy superiores y ademas bonitos.Estoy muy contento con mi compra.Por cierto... Yo compre Medianos que en Mexico equivalen del 21 al 25 ya que son ajustables.
