The papers provide excellent practice for children preparing for the exams and also allow them to see how formal the paperwork may be. If there was one slight criticism I would say that they are a tad on the easy side in comparison to some other 11+ practice papers but nevertheless help enormously to give a child some much needed confidence. To do a thorough preparation it would be worth trying out a variety of other papers too so that different styles can be appreciated and a child isn't 'thrown' in the exam. I always make a point of sitting down with my son afterwards and walking through any mistakes. Also, just remind them to fill out those multi-choice answer sheets correctly! They contain four full papers and give invaluable practice at doing these really quite touch tests especially if you do them under timed exam condition. There is nothing like practice to put your child in the best possible place to do well in the exams.
