Ball Joints are GARBAGE!
Don’t buy these ball joints unless you like doing work twice, paying for a tow truck and don’t value your life. They come in a brown box no part numbers or brand, no big deal…right? They looked okay but the grease fitting wouldn’t tighten up on either, that should have been my first red flag. I installed them over this past weekend with new hub bearings purchased elsewhere. They seemed fine and not too much grease come out of the fitting area since it wouldn’t tighten, 3 days later I’m driving on the highway and I have a vibration coming from the right side so I pull over and jack up the car and right away I can tell that the right side upper ball joint was defective, the control arm was lose with lots of play. I was over 40 miles from home so I had to get towed back. These parts are inexpensive but they are cheap and dangerous based on my experience. I removed the junk and installed two Moog ball joints, problem solved. I learned my lesson. $25 for 2 ball joints must be something wrong. Lost 1/2 day of productivity at work, $218 tow and time and aggravation to do the job over again. Plus, the seller knows his product is garbage and only allows 30 days to return/exchange. I missed it by a day.
