## Description

With well over a decade of research and development went into making the Infiniti R100 one of the most popular rowing machines on the market. The Infiniti R100 Rowing Machine is a premium product, designed and built to the highest standards. The R100 features one of the most sophisticated on-board workout consoles, and addresses key consumer feedback on rowing machine noise and capability to enable full stroke for taller users. The R100 has a magnetic air resistance system that provides 16 resistance levels that automatically adjust during the course of each program. The fabulous on-board workout console features 42 pre-set programs that provide both variety and motivation for even the most demanding users. Also Included is a heart-rate control program feature that enables users to input their desired heart rate training range, the computer then automatically adjusts resistance levels to keep you within your desired training zone. The R100 stores data for up to 5 users. The super-smooth R100 is much quieter than competing models, yet is rugged enough to accommodate people up to 150kg in weight. The R100 folds for easy storage. Review: Great alternative to a Concept 2 - When you are spending £600 for a rowing machine, the question is should you go up to 860 and buy a Concept 2? Well I have owned both now and each machine has its pros and cons but if you are a Concept 2 fan, the point is that you will be not be disappointed and may even prefer this. The main benefit is that the seat is wider and much more comfortable than a Concept 2, with a rowing setup just as good. It's also worth noting that this newer model is better than what the older reviews have posted. I see one person mentioned that the monitor had them rowing at 1.35 minutes per 500m; this has been corrected and the pace measurement is very accurate to what you see on a Concept 2. There are 24 levels of resistance and a myriad of workout programs (most probably won't use many) as well as a heart rate monitor which takes a lot of moisture to work and seems to fade out sometimes (which is not a problem with the Concept 2). On the new version you can control the resistance level and menu with an infrared function on the rowing handle. It is not a very quiet machine but not very loud either, so not much difference there. It needs to be plugged in and there is no battery compartment on mine. It doesn't (from what I can see) store lifetime metres and the computer is a bit more complicated than a PM console but easy enough to figure after you've used it a few times. You can for example create a user profile and from the data stored, it will calculate how many calories you have burned during your rowing session. Longevity I understand has been a problem with some of the previous reviews. The Concept 2 is designed to be a one-off purchase and is simple and robust with parts/technical support for all the past models still available from their UK HQ, so that may be something you want to consider. I believe there is also quite an extensive warranty on the Infiniti parts but obviously I have had no experience yet with the technical support/communication from BodyMax. For someone who is not too bothered about setting times against others worldwide in your age group, racking up the metres and participating in the online challenges like you can do on the Concept log then this is an ideal machine - hopefully it works as well in the years to come. Ultimately the workouts are just as challenging, just as exhausting, more smooth, more comfortable and (admittedly during the short time i have had it) at very good value for money.
Review: Fabulous and quiet!!! - A great rower, I was looking at a concept 2 but found this to be just as good, if not better and also cheaper. It is easy to put together and folds up for easy storage when not in use, not that we have done that! It is exceptionally quiet and the resistance is great. It is currently getting some very hard training from an ex army guy and also a 2 half marathon trainers and is showing no issues so far!!! The mechanism is very smooth and the display shows all the info you could want, and allows for different users, if you buy a chest strap separately (approx £25) you can monitor heart rate and the machine will actually work at the optimum range for you depending on what you want to do cardio wise. Overall I cannot recommend this machine enough!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ To Infiniti....
*by C***S on 1 August 2015*

I spent about a year umming and ahhing about whether or not to buy a rower to help me get back into shape. And then this little beauty popped up in the sale and it was the right price for me to take a bit of a chance. It reviews favourably to the industry standard Concept 2, it was a couple of hundred pounds cheaper, and I prefer the way the rail and the diagonal beam interact with the floor so I went with the Infiniti. It arrived very quickly and was easy to put together. The only slight irritation is the plastic guards around the seat runners are fiddly to bolt together and it would be nice to be able to adjust the base foot position angle. It's worth noting that the flywheel and diagonal are fairly heavy and depending on your frame might be a bit cumbersome to manoeuvre when you put it all together. I'm neither the strongest nor tallest person and I found it ok to lift up two flights of stairs and around tight corners. When it's all together it's very stable and provides a good sense of confidence in it's potential longevity. I have left it set up and in place but the folding storage works well whenever I need to hoover underneath. In use the 'seatbelt' style chain is perfect with no metallic rattle if your form slips and is otherwise silent in operation. The bars and seat are comfortable and ideally arranged. I do 35minute sessions without issue and the only time I get numb in the glutes is when I do a 45-60 minute session, which is to be expected! The resistance levels seem fine to me and provide more than enough range to go from easy strokes to back breakers, and there's a great variety of programmes to keep things interesting. However, the one and pretty much only thing that is a little bit frustrating is that it seems everyone is using a Concept 2, which means there is no comparable data to see how you're going relative to other uses. I haven't had a chance to get on a Concept 2 recently to gauge the difference in resistance so at the moment I'm having to rely on what the computer tells me. It's not the fault of the Infiniti but it is something to bear in mind if you want to get into training with others already set up. Obviously everyone is different when it comes to weight, body mass, height etc so take this as just another piece of data entry. I was about 2.5 stone heavier than my optimal weight when I started rowing. After rowing 25 out of 31 days in 30+ minute sessions and taking much better care of what I eat and drink (which should not be underestimated) I am now 1 stone heavier than where I should be. It's not dramatic but it is healthy and sustainable. If your form is good and you take care of your stretching and nutrition you should be able to achieve very satisfying results.
