Review: Second purchase, great value remote - I had the business end of my last remote shutter release drop into the Surrey Quays Dock, so no way I was ever getting that one back! I bought this as I had one previously and the trigger is moulded on to the cable - much more secure. It works exactly as it should, and an added benefit is that you can lock the shutter open, ideal for long exposures.

The button has a relatively clear and positive action that lets you distinguish between a half-press (to focus) or full press to fire the shutter. If you just want a cheap cable release for occasional tripod shots, this is not a bad option.
