Fantastic product for workflow optimization
I have a few notes about quirks/things that I wish were different, but I wanted to start by saying that I love this thing and it has drastically improved my workflow, such that I rarely touch my keyboard anymore. As a note, I only use the key dial for Adobe After Effects since that’s where I spend 98% of my time, but I’m sure it works great for other programs as well and I like that the keys can be set up to change based on which program is active! Also, the battery life is crazy good. Thank you Huion! In case anyone is interested, I’ve included a photo of how I have mine set up for Ae. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is on the fence about it. A few notes/quirks: - I love that you can set the dial for up to 3 different functions and easily switch between them and also that if you only have 1 or 2 functions set up, it doesn’t make you switch through a blank function. BUT! It is a *slight* inconvenience that you have to wait for the on-screen-display to clear off before you can start using the selected function. Because of that, I rarely if ever switch functions (which really isn’t a big deal because my other hand is always on my mouse, which has a scroll wheel). Also, I wish you could swap the scroll direction, but that’s not a deal breaker. - The keys can be set up as modifier keys (CTRL/ALT/SHIFT/etc) which is nice and those seem to work well with the keyboard and mouse for the most part, but have some weird behaviors with the other keys on the key dial. Certain keys only seem to work with other keys on the keydial, but it seems really inconsistent. For example, I have the large lower-right key set up as ALT which works to modify the first key on the second row but not the 3rd key on the second row. There are also a few keys that have a really subtle mark on them (either a dot or an arrow) and those keys never seem to work in combination with each other. As before, this isn’t a deal-breaker, but it is a slight inconvenience. - When using a modifier key with another function, if you release the function first everything continues as expected. If you release the modifier key first, it seems to lock that key down. For example, when I’m using alt+wheel, if I accidentally release the alt key first my computer acts as though the alt key is still pressed. This happens with other peripherals as well, so it’s not an issue with Huion, just something to note if you pick this thing up (which you should)

Great option for a cheaper MacroPad
Slight Update: This can't function while charging. Of course, wireless is more convenient, but if I'm running out of juice, I'd expect it to still work wired. Nope. Not a dealbreaker, but an inconvenience. *original review* I'd been using the older version of this from XP-Pen (AC19) for a few years and used it daily. I'm not an artist, but I love using a macro pad for productivity purposes. Unfortunately, two of the keys started dying, so I weighed my options between the newer model from XP-Pen and this one from Huion. I figured the extra buttons would be good, so I got this one. Everything is plastic, but it feels durable enough. I expected the buttons to be rubbery, but they're just flat plastic. No complaint, but just different than I thought. Bluetooth paired easily and I haven't had any issues with is reconnecting. I personally with it had a 2.4Ghz receiver, but that's more just personal preference. The software works perfectly well. Personally I like to use some longer text strings as shortcuts and this couldn't handle that. Instead I had to use a key binding with Auto Hotkey to do what I wanted. It worked for me, but is an extra step. The scroll wheel has been working as expected. Personally, I with it didn't poke out as far as it does, but I generally just use one finger on top, not fingers on either side, so I can't fault it for a difference of opinion. The only actual complain I have is with the included stickers. They're great if you plan to use the default functions in art programs, but I expected extras printed to give me more options. There are a few blank ones, but what's the point of blank black stickers? The keys are already black, and I can't write anything on them. They should have at least provided some blank white stickers so I could write or draw my own shortcut reminder on them. I might try to get other stickers or experiment with regular paper and hodge-podge. All in all, I'd definitely recommend it (at least when it's on sale for $40). There aren't enough options out there, but this is a good option.

Almost perfect
The product itself works very well, I use it on an iPad Pro with bluetooth, there appears to be no lag or delay, the buttons are smooth, the dial is clicky However, due to the software/app required to use it, it is not fully perfect The software/app itself has been abandoned with no support They are also lacking the use of the ALT key, the software/app has keys you can select to make a command but they do not have a selection for the ALT key, which is important if you want to do various commands I reached out to the company (Huion) about this and received no response Very annoying, especially when I need the ALT key to deselect sections while using the lasso tool in Clip Studio Paint! Please fix this!

Works great with my iPad+Procreate
Loving the Keydial K20 so far! Reasons why I landed on it: 1. I've been using Procreate on my 2018 iPad almost exclusively as of late, and this seems to work fine out of the box. 2. I also own a Huion Kamvas Pro 16 and assumed the two would work well together 3. I like the aesthetics and small footprint After 1 hour of using it: 1. Build: It's plastic, lightweight, and clean. Some may prefer a heavier metallic build > doesn't bother me. The buttons feel tactile. The dial has "clicky" increments, also doesn't bother me. 2. Huion Keydial iOS app: Like others have said, the app has terrible reviews but everything seems fine. It supports many app presets out of the box: Procreate, Adobe apps, Affinity apps, Clip Studio Paint, Artstudio Pro, just to name a few. If you don't find a specific app or preset for it, you can always assign your own hotkey combo. 3. Center Dial Button: My only gripe so far is the lack of "dial function switching" via the center dial button, which I've seen others say you can access on the desktop apps. Maybe I'm missing something in the app? If it indeed does not exist, this seems like a software issue and could easily be rectified with an app update by Huion. 4. Procreate: I've seen people in other forums/subreddits complain that feature-x is not available for mapping, and this isn't specific to the K20. It might just mean the app developers have not yet exposed that function through their API. To see what Procreate allows for keyboard mapping, map just the "command" key. Then while in Procreate press+hold that command key to reveal a contextual menu of available/mappable functions. I for one wish brush opacity was available. I understand you can do this directly with the virtual slider in Procreate, but I'm trying to focus all my off-hand movements to a keyboard accessory. 5. Icon stickers: I appreciate the stickers they include, but I'll probably print my own based on my personalization and needs. 6. Positioning: I draw with my left hand and use my right hand to control the K20. Just a personal preference and not a gripe > I prefer using this in a horizontal position (dial at the bottom left corner). Since you can map and customize the keys however you want, this is not an issue. I'll eventually get to using this on my desktop setup. Nice job Huion!

Control programs, commands, with a thin, light, wireless,. easy-to-program device.
EDIT: I've since switched over to another device, the Xencelabs Quickeys; better for me because it's also small, wireless, programmable, and - you don't need a cheat sheet to tell you where everything is, you can read the command names on a screen over the buttons. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08VNCLDTK?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 __________________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________________ I am disabled, and for years used a Logitech G13 gamepad to embed commands, macros etc., in an external keypad I could work with my left hand, alongside a left-handed trackball mouse The drawbacks of the gamepad were: Heavy (over 2 lbs, I think), wired, large, and clumsy for me to use. To be fair, the design assumed (as do almost all gamepads) that the right hand is using the mouse/joystick/controller, leaving the left hand free to use this device alone, which is not the case with me; I have to control everything with my left hand only, skipping back and forth between devices. Plusses: Logitech software ran perfectly on my Mac and covered all the programs I used, transitioning seamlessly, and the gamepad was extremely useful. I eventually (after several years) stopped using it because I wasn't able any longer to support all the back and forth with my left hand. Logitech has stopped producing gamepads like the G13. Other companies make similar products, but unless their software runs on my computer, I'm out of luck. Enter Huion. My heart leapt at the picture. Thin! Light! Wireless! And, praise be to the programmers, they said it ran on a Mac! Hubba Hubba! Most of the comment soncurred about the software, and yeah yeah yeah. The Huion software runs seamlessly on my Mac. Very intuitive programming, more than 18 commands and key combinations per program or application, all in a few ounces. I have it propped next to the mouse, and am able to perform wonders with a minimal amount of wrist movement. The Huion software won't accept more than a single keystroke combination at a time, so I don't think longer macro commands can be embedded in a single key. Other than that, I think this is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Five stars in every direction.

great, just not for me
I got this as part of a bundle with a Kamvas 22 plus, and I was curious to see how it handled. Im left-handed and have a hard time with built in tablet shortcuts because of how I have to flip the tablet in order to draw comfortably (thats hy I got the 22 plus in the first place: it has no buttons built in so i dont need to flip it upside down). It was a bit difficult to figure out how to connect (you have to pair it to your pc first for it to be recognized through bluetooth). It works as described and would be awesome for people who like it, but I found it a bit clunky to manage in my right hand while drawing so I ended up giving it to a right-handed friend who has had a much better time using it. The wheel part is awesome though and very intuitive to use to scroll! The buttons are nice, and I think it's a super worthwile and handy tool, its just not for me

Great for video editing
I got this to speed up my video editing in davinci resolve. Works like a charm! I mapped keyboard shortcuts to keys and labelled them. For actions without a default keyboard shortcut, you can assign a key combo in resolve settings. It has dramatically sped up my workflow by probably close to 40% time savings and a lot fewer clicks. I can keep my eyes on the work and use both hands.

For the newer K40, not worth it. K20 not bad, but the dial will die in about a year of use.
(edit): Okay so ivve had the K20 since June of 2024 and the dial went bad but the buttons still worked. Was plagued however by the drivers always failing to detect the keypad. the driver never give me issues with my Kamvas 24 but my god do they hate the keypad. So dealing with that for a while I think man I'll upgrade Ill get the newer one. ans so I get it over the holidays as a gift. Firstly the rubber backing for grip is very slick and does little to grip my desk. Secondly this one still suffers from the drivers refusing to detect it. and it doesnt matter how many digital buttons it has, they will be the default binds if the drivers dont detect it because it has no onboard memory. none at all how in this modern age are there still customizable peripherals with no onboard memory? Like I wounlt care so much if there drivers EVER detected it firrst try but it doesnt. Thirdly this one has come with a new issue the K20 didnt have, which is it regularly provides false imputs. either keeping the last imput it was given for a second or two or outright ignoring the most recent imput. wich if youre using a program with toolshift like I am is a nightmare. Fourthly. the ergonomics just doesnt do it for me. I find the K20 easier to use. and on that, * programable buttons at a time is simply not enough. My workspace doesnt provide enough room for my drawing setup and an easily accessed keyboard. so I try to use binds as best I can to prevent me from having to awkwardly try tp scoot a keyboard out to use binds. and the fact it takes a secodn to switch bettween digital button sets is just agrivating for my workflow. Pros: the made it easier to actually set your binds the dials feel nice and accurate the buttons it does have, each have little tactile feature to differintiate them without looking. Conclusion. don't. just dont get this one. go with a different brand for your macros. make sure if it is also driver dependant it wont conflict with your device or program. Really let down by this.

Great
Has some minor issues like not turning on or off sometimes, and the rare key lagging, but overall amazing. Even has multiple functions and programmable settings. Definitely a good buy.
