Depth of basket from outside basket bottom to the bottom of the rim is 2.70 inches. Distance across rim wings is 5.40 inches. **Q: Where is this tea infuser made?** A: Designed in the US, made in China. **Q: Anyone experience it rusting? I received another brand as a gift and noticed there were small rust spots on the mesh & handle hinges** A: NOT DISHWASHER SAFE! I’ve had this for about a year. I works great. I had been hand washing it and letting it air dry after every use without issue. Over time, it developed some mild staining from the tannins in the tea, so I decided to put it in the dishwasher. Bad idea. Even thought I took it out as soon as the cycle completed, it was covered with tiny rust spots. It was ruined, but I learned my lesson. Regardless, I like this enough that I’ll be buying it again. **Q: Are there strainer holes in the flat bottom of this?** A: Yes, there are holes in the "flat bottom." This is a nicely made/designed tea infuser; you'll like it. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Empfehlenswertes Teesieb *by 5***E on 10 November 2021* Sehr gutes Produkt. Lässt sich leicht reinigen und ist sehr gut verarbeitet. Wer oft Tee trinkt, liegt hier genau richtig. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good *by M***Q on 11 July 2025* Quality is good, easy to use and clean ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just received, but so far it’s great *by M***T on 16 June 2026* I just got this infuser, but so far it is a pleasure to use. I was replacing a ball type infuser with a spring hinge and handle that has seen better days after years of use. I was looking for something to use for years to come. Spent a bit of time researching. I like the silicone lining of the handles and lid. It seems durable, relatively mess free, easy to fill and clean, and provides a nice brewing experience. It’s a fairly decent size - this could be a positive or negative depending on your expectations and use. Might require a slightly larger mug, but I imagine is ok for smaller cups - you just might have to have several smaller servings. So far so good. ## Frequently Bought Together - OXO Brew Tea Infuser Basket 6 oz. - OXO BREW Twisting Tea Ball Infuser - FGO Organic Dried Lavender Flowers, Extra Grade Dried Buds, Imported From France for Culinary or Sachet Bags, 4oz, Packaging May Vary (Pack of 1) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.sa/products/514990681-oxo-oxo-brew-tea-infuser-basket](https://www.desertcart.com.sa/products/514990681-oxo-oxo-brew-tea-infuser-basket) --- *Product available on Desertcart Saudi Arabia* *Store origin: SA* *Last updated: 2026-10-10*
