I hope to paint a thin layer on the inside of a mask.** A: No not liquid. It is a soft clay for moulding and air drying items. However it might be possible to mix with water to make it more of a slip? **Q: Just bought thinking its the modelling clay cos of pic & description, but now see title is creative paperplay "liquid" . Is this the modelling clay?** A: Yes this is modelling clay and it hardens up completely in about 1 month - or before. When it's hard - about a week - you can use sandpaper to fix your products, and you can paint them - if you want that. I think it is a fantastic clay, and I have used it for years for my sculptures. When they are finished I usually say one month to make them completely hard as stone, maybe that is a little too much, but just to be sure, if you are going to sell them. So buy Paperclay - you will not regret it. And one more answer - When I have finished my sculptures I paint them with Paverpol transparent BEFORE I patinate with a color, then they will - as I use to say - last for more then 100 years. :-) **Q: Is this clay suitable to make small dishes, say 3inches in diameter please? Will it dry hard enough and sturdy enough to be used as a bead dish?
